I've been hearing a lot about this phone but can't find anywhere that actually sells it. Does anyone know where they are available for purchase?
Thanks!
Thanks!

It isn't going to be in the shops as I understand, for the foreseeable future it's only available from it's Chinese maker (and only by invitation currently).
Be aware there are some cost cutting components used in this (it is just a "no-name" Chinese phone after all). It has a cheaper radio chip that doesn't include certain frequencies, for example 800MHz meaning it can't be used on 4G on O2 or Vodafone (or many other European networks).====0 -
This phone is on an invite only system. Generally availability looks to be end of June before most people will be able to get invites.
The specs of the phone are top notch, and the reason they are selling the phone so cheap is because they are actually selling this phone at cost price.
I will be getting one probably unless they have any more information about the nexus 6 by the time i manage to get an invite

that's a bummer. I will probably wait for the nexus 6 then. 0 -

Hardly a no name Chinese phone... The company, whilst being a startup is backed by Oppo, currently one of the largest phone manufacturers in the far eastern markets. Admittedly not on Samsung territory yet, but if One Plus+'s hype is anything to go by, other more recognised names should be shivering.
What they're managing to put into the phone at the price point that it's being pitched at is nothing short of brilliant, and should have a lot of manufacturers looking on with a huge amount of interest.0 -

No, it's not backed by Oppo, Oppo are manufacturing it for 1Plus (like Foxconn manufacture for Apple, which doesn't make Foxconn a backer of Apple). The link is because the CEO of 1Plus is an ex Oppo employee.Admittedly not on Samsung territory yet, but if One Plus+'s hype is anything to go by, other more recognised names should be shivering.

Just like many Chinese unknown brand phones, the specs look tremendous on paper but tend to fall apart a little in practice. Even Oppo itself is only just getting to the edge of acceptability when compared to the big known brands and they have been designing and building for years.
Let's wait for full reviews by impartial users before blowing the hype up all over the world, 1Plus are savvy on the social media front, that's half the reason why people are so blindly recommending something that barely exists as a commercial proposition yet.====0 -

Sorry - but you're incorrect. Oppo and OnePlus+ are one and the same - and both owned by BBK Electronics.
The new Oppo Find7a will be almost identical to the OnePlus+, just with a slight variation and a higher price.

Now this I do agree with. They have got a major social network following, and whilst they haven't actually started selling their product yet - apart from the test models and the "lucky" 100 to win one in their competition. I don't think that I've blindly recommended the product, but like you I wait to see a more mass user based experience. Their pre-release reviews by some major players do seem to back the product though.
I just wonder if the media hype, and the lack of a product to actually sell at the moment, will ultimately come back and bite them. A lot of Facebook posts (which I know is an easy way to commend and criticise fairly anonymously) are venting frustration about the lack of the physical product in the market place.0 -

I'm only going by what 1plus themselves say, Pete Lau, the CEO, has categorically denied those stories ever since they surfaced (and even referenced in your link).
http://www.theverge.com/2013/12/16/5217794/oppo-ex-vice-president-pete-lau-launches-oneplusWhen Oppo vice president Pete Lau resigned last month, the timing was almost puzzling. Lau had just helped to bring CyanogenMod onto the company's new handset, the N1, finally pairing Oppo's high-end specs and sleek design with software that could create what enthusiasts might see as the perfect package. But even then, Lau wasn't satisfied. "Everyone should have access to the best and latest technology," Lau tells The Verge in an email.
Lau is now launching a new company that aims to make that a reality.
He's calling it OnePlus, and its goal is to create Lau's dream smartphone — one that marries fast, high-end hardware with equally high-end design. "We will create a more beautiful and higher quality product," Lau says. "We will never be different just for the sake of being different. Everything done has to improve the actual user experience in day-to-day use."Now this I do agree with. Agreed, I think it was an idiotic stunt, and will still cause them ill will in the future.====0 -
I will wait and see what are the reviews of the phone. it looks good, sounds good and cheap.
But does it work as it says??What happens if you push this button?0
