I sold a pair of Sonic the hedgehog curtains, in great condition. I'd seen them go for £25 in previous auctions. I ended up getting £4.99 cos I didn't consider a BIN. Was gutted, as they are still selling for shedloads more than that to this day.

It's so unpredictable. Sometimes stuff I expect to fetch a good price sells for peanuts, but occasionally I get lucky and it's the other way round.
If I've listed an auction without BIN, it's my personal policy not to consider BIN offers if the item already has watchers. If it's a very unusual item I would be unlikely to consider BIN in any case, since I would have little idea what a "normal" eBay price would be.0
