I got an email from a perpective buyer about something i'm selling on eBay asking if I have a buy it now price. I want to keep it as a normal auction so what should my response be?
Many thanks.

Just politely say you'd be unwilling to accept a BIN and that you'd rather let the auction run its course.

Thankyou, that's what i'll do.0

Just say 'I would rather let the auction continue but wish you luck if you decide to bid. Many thanks.'0

I had this the other day on one of my auctions and it already had a bid, I simply replied and said that I had put it on an auction and was leaving it that way, and they were welcome to bid on it if they liked!Weight Loss - 102lb0

Generally if someone offers you £X for an item to do a buy-it-now type thing you can almost certainly guarentee that it is actually worth more than they have offered you for it.0

I'm ever so cheeky - if there is something I'm interested in I always ask if there are no bidders on it - at the end of the day if you don't ask you don't get and if they say no then nobody's died have they? I am so unlucky at winning auctions, my max bid ALWAYS gets overtaken in the closing SECONDS. I have had people ask me to do BIN when I have been selling something and if I haven't wanted to do it I sent a message along the lines of 'Hi there, many thanks for your interest but I would prefer to see the auction out until the end on this occasion. Best wishes.'0
