it's on the same line as victoria. and probably 45 minutes.
to be honest kew gardens would be much better for 8+ year olds who will appreciate all the tropical plants.
for the 3 year old it would be a wasted trip, they'll just be happy anywhere with mummy. Wont really be able to appreciate any of the surroundings0 -
If only there for one day, with kids in tow there's more than enough to keep you occupied at London Zoo. Then nip down to Camden Town for a bite to eat. I wouldn't be trying to do too much (and certainly not bothering with the Shard (London Bridge) or the London Eye (Waterloo).
Euston just down the road from Camden (15 min walk/5 min bus trip). From Camden Town, London Zoo is another 10 mins walk.
Otherwise for kids, as mentioned above Science Museum might be a decent shout (South Kensington).0 -
Thank you for your interest .London is one of the world's great cities. Take a trip day trip from London to Stonehenge, Bath, Stratford-upon-Avon and the Cotswold’s. You'll combine vibrant history, gorgeous scenery and sightseeing at some of Britain's most popular attractions. Your tour includes an exclusive visit to Shakespeare's birthplace, with champagne and strawberry scones served in his picturesque garden.0

if you do go to London zoo, take some peanuts (the ones you feed the birds ) and feed the squrrals in the park as you walk from the tube to the zoo, my kids love to do that when we went to the zoo or Buckingham palace0

I would prob use Victoria as your start point. You have st james park - lovely for a picnic. Lots of squirrels and birds on the lake, you can also walk through the mall through to horse guards parade through to changing of the guards. You can then decide to go the eye from thier if you wish. You can also do the boat tour from different stops along the pier.
How about taking your little one to imperial war museum? Lots of models of planes and submarines and tanks not as interactive as the others mentioned but still a fair bit to keep little one amused. This is slightly out of Central London though and you would have to look at your routes and plans. Like someone has mentioned moving statues can be found in convent garden.
All that is free - you can choose to pay for things like zoo, and aquarium.
Why not book a travelodge and stay overnight then you can really enjoy a lot of London then go back to hotel and sleep and leave fresh in the morning.0
