terms and conditions of eligibility for free BB.
(if link doesn't work go to hxxp://www.orange.co.uk/terms and follow appropriate links!)

I wouldn't go by the t&c's - the fact is they don't stick to them, thus making them worthless.proplusplus wrote: »hxxp://www.orange.co.uk/terms/17579.htm?linkfrom=terms_internet_default&link=box_main_pos_1_2_link_1&article=termsofusefreebroadband

Fair enough, just gave the link in case wanted the terms.
When taking up the free BB you don't need to re-start your contract with them - effectively you either have to be in month 1 of 18 (or 12) of your contract term,
or, you have to have your contract dates reset to month 1. (ie if you're in month 3 of 18, you go back to 1 of 18)
The main 3 criteria are:
1) month 1 of contract.
2) £30 line rental (min) incl. any discounts which appear on your account.
3) BT landline.
if you have existing orange BB (wanadoo/freeserve) and you're paying £14.99, you need to go through to regrades dept. and you will be regraded to the free BB. [not entirely sure if this engages any contract changes - don't think it does - just BB account + mobile account must be in same name]

Having read through this thread I'm still confused. I currently have Orange Broadband and a Vodafone mobile (which is at the end of its contract). I therefore want to get an Orange contract but go through someone like Carphone Warehouse so I can get their Qudico cashback offer. If I do this on a £30/35 contract can I then phone Orange and ask for them to give me my broadband free?0

That link tells you about the free broadband when you arrange your mobile contract with Orange - it does not mention what the situation is with another contract arranger. I have phoned Orange broadband up and they tell me you simply phone once you get your contract to get the free service, yet when I phoned their mobile phone contact centre they told me I had to go direct with them rather than the intermediary! I'm not sure who to believe0 -

So why does it specifically mention "existing customers" then?
:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
