Takeaway discounts?

The indie takeaways round my area change their menu prices/offers almost bi-monthly, so if you have a takeaway menu 6 months old then it will almost certain be out of date.

Also I find a lot of these takeaways well dodgy and they try it on at any given opportunity. I went to one that did half price pizzas 2 days a week collection only. I ordered online for collection but when I went to collect they wouldn't honor the offer. They would only offer them half price if you came into the shop to order for collection. Didn't say this anywhere on the menus or posters.

I walked out and left the pizzas there.

Possibly the easy thing to do is ask them what the total cost will be when you order the food / drinks over the phone? That way, you can work out if the appropriate discount has been applied, and take it up with them before you go and pay?
