SMEG are a good quality brand, Beko in my opinion are of a lower quality, but still good non the less. I have a Beko fridge, and before anyone asks 'no it hasn't burst into flames'

Why do you require a new oven, could you not get replacement glass?

Bosch/Neff/Siemens (all part of same group), AEG, or of you really want top
    end, De Detrich, or Miele.

However, as Billett suggests, you could just get new glass!

what about smeg, is it as good as siemens bosch ?

Well I am not doing the job. Someone has broke the glass and offered to change the glass or the oven to something like beko but thought the oven could work for number of more years and no point agreeing to it been swapped with a cheap brand like beko

    this is why i asked.
  • I wouldn't swap a Smeg for a Beko. Would rather have new glass.

I've got a Bosch double oven and it's very good.

    You have a Smeg oven.

    Someone broke the glass.

So Someone pays to have the glass replaced.

Why are you even discussing getting a new oven?

Smeg is actually pretty useless. Its a badly designed and made product with clever packaging & marketing.

For similar money you can get BSH products which are much better.

Correct. Smeg is all fur coat and no knickers. They are a triumph of design and marketing over build quality and functionality.

Go with Bosch/Siemens/Neff or AEG (Electrolux) or if you're loaded Miele (although I am not sure they actually manufacture their own ovens).
