Suddenly I feel cheated that I paid £14.99 including postage for that Toshiba one a few weeks ago!!

The battery is dated 07/2010 but I guess at the price it is that shouldn't concern anyone. It's still younger than the one I was using.

Actually, it's from the same company. But in this case it is being sold directly from their new website.
To be fair, I would not have trusted the website were it not for their presence on eBay and Amazon and it is very difficult to even find the pack on their website unless you run a search for it.

As to the date of the battery, has it affected the performance?
What kind of usage times are you getting from a full charge?
I expected the date of manufacture to be around that time, as it is a genuine Toshiba part and the machines for which it is compatible are from around that time.
It's a good idea to test them(charge it) as soon as you get them, to make sure that they perform as expected.

Mine shows five hours against two and a half with a new six cell.
So far, so good.

Where does it show the list of compatible laptops? I couldn't find it on the web page.

I have a Satellite Pro A200, but the battery looks quite different from the one in the web page, and Toshiba's web page for this part number only lists a shorter number of compatible models.

Also the picture is different to mine. Mine looks more like this:

Mine is squarer than the pictures of the PA3727U-1BRS on the Toshiba US and xsonly websites. Mine doesn't have the bits sticking out at either end (and nor does the laptop have space for the sticking-out bits to fit into).

So I fear it won't fit (which is a shame; it's a good price :T ).

I have already told you that it will fit. So just buy it if you want it and stop with the Internet 'research'.

I know the batteries and laptops in question.
I've even provided a pic of how it looks when fitted as well as a compatibility list. So it is already annoying that you question what I have posted.

Do you think that I created the compatibility list as a joke? If it is on the list, it will fit.
