Good Morning all,dry and brightening up at the moment
TTFTM Yes I have been watching the Gereration War on t.v and I agree its just spellbinding.Made a change to see WW2 from the 'other' side.I haven't watched the Crimson field yet as I have it on my Tivo box to watch in one go.I like to tape a series and then watch it all at a time.
No shopping to buy today as I am just pottering around indoors ,I'm hoping my gardener will arrive this morning as he got delayed yesterday .
have a good day everyone whatever you are doing
Cheers chums JackieO xxx0 -
Good morning everyone :j
It's a bit of a grey day here but the rain is holding off for now so I'm off on my travels to Barnstaple to do a bit of shopping. My DD14 is home so I am taking her with me for some company and to treat her to some new clothes too. She can't go to school due to the 48hr sickness policy but she's absolutely fine now and I don't want to leave her at home all alone as she gets nervous.
Have just ordered a new phone for DD12 as hers got stepped on and the screen is smashed to bits. I've just got her a cheapie one so she can text her friends and ring me if necessary. She won't be very happy but it's a hard life :rotfl::rotfl:.
I've decided to split my tesco online order into two seeing as I'm paying for delivery anyway. It's much easier to have smaller deliveries in terms of storage and putting away. I hate putting the shopping away lol. I just need to meal plan for the next week and sort out tea then I'm out of here
....unreasonably excited as I rarely go out due to anxiety. I'll probably only manage a couple of shops but I don't care.
Hope you all manage to have a nice day, take care x0 -
Positive Vibes for little dog RR. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Redruby all my hopes that little dog comes through her op with no problems.
Poor old Mr LW had to call in at the surgery on his way to work this morning, for a blood test (scheduled for 07:20). It's just a routine thing, as he's on Amlodipine and hasn't had a blood test for quite some time, but it meant leaving the house at 07:00 instead of 07:30, so he didn't have time for breakfast. I made him take an extra banana with him to have when he got to work.
He's called me since, and is ok; but they tried to do his left arm and failed, so had to do his right arm instead, so he has matching plasters on both arms.:(
Never mind, I've scheduled his favourite Qu0rn fillets in white wine sauce for tonight's dins, so hopefully that'll cheer him up. And HM "strubarb" (strawberry & rhubarb) crumble for pud.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon everyone,
Busiscoming Did the exam get sorted out?
RR Posi-vibes for little dog.
Butterflybrain Get well wishes for your hand.
Dumpling How is the healthy eating going? I seem to do really well till after tea time and then I can't keep away from the chocolate.
Molly, JackieO Happy recovery vibes for you two!
Thanks for all your concern last week, I still haven't manged to get to the doctors due to pressure of work but, apart from a badly bruised elbow from when I fell, I am feeling fine. I will get to the doctors over half term.
DD1 started her GCSE exams yesterday and she has two more today. she seems to have nearly finished by half term but then DS has loads of A level exams to do. There is a lot of stress in our house at the moment!
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.:)0 -
Afternoon all,
Really nice here today, lots of cloud so expect that we will have some rain later,
In a bit of a snit today, went to have a pelvic floor mus cle assessment done and during internalphysio found a 'thickness' that shouldnt be there, has advised a gynae assessment so have requested referral from gp, off to Sardinia on Sunday so will have to wait until I come back on 25th....have decided to say nothing to 'children' as it wouldinitiate an immediate 7way panic which I couldnt handle, particularly as it is probably nothing.....and they all say that I panic!
Dinner today will be pasta something....both had big breakfasts so not much needed to fill us up later..
Going to one of knitting groups houses for knitting tomorrow, so I will have passengers and need to hoover out car.
Hugs to all in need or want of one,
MarieWeight 08 February 86kg0 -
Oh Marie. Fingers crossed for you. Hope it all turns out to be nothing as you say. Just try to have a lovely time in Sardinia. I know that's hard.
Keep positive that they never seemed to say to have the test done immediately, that sounds promising. But a worry never the less. Lots of luck winging there way to you. X0 -
Afternoon all,
Meanmarie - Hope it turns out to be nothing.
RR - Fingers crossed for your 'little one'.
Thanks to those who asked, yes DS2 took the exam and will attend for the others. Hopefully they will have him on the lists! I am storing up all my anger for the letter they and the governors will get once he has finished.
Not been up to much today, work and a bit of pottering about, that's all.
I'm going to try and do something exciting with chicken for tea

Afternoon all.
What awful weather we've had here today. Got soaked coming home from school so am sat here on my pyjamas. Will have to get dressed again though as need to go to a meeting with dd at her school.
I've been to town today. Needed to get my eyebrows threaded. It's a must or I'd look like Dennis Healeys love child.
Marie, try not to worry xxxxx
Lamewolf, nice to see you posting x I think about you quite often & hope you're ok. Hope your husband is ok as well x do you have any dogs ATM?
Moorhen (that was autocorrected to Morten!) please see your gp soon x
Hope your dog is ok Redruby x
Kids have got real sausage hotdogs for dinner tonight. Himself has left over curry. I've got some low carb stuff to eat.
Need to have a day at home to really get stuck I to the housework & stuff but always seem to have something or other to do. Tomorrow I have gym induction and a class. On thurs I need to take ds to see the occupational therapist. Then I see his special needs teacher later on. and then on Friday I have coffee morning with the autism group I attend and then it's time to go and see Morten!
And on Saturday I am hanging around radio 2 in the hope of meeting Morten as he's there for a show! *stalker alert*
Oh the shame. In the middle of typing this, I forgot my friend was coming around to get some packing boxes. Answered the door in my pyjamas.
AND then, when I opened the garage , my neighbours cat shot out. He must have been in there since Sunday  Ice been around to let them know (I got changed!) but they're not in. Cat is fine btw. George got locked in & I let him out when I realised but neighbours cat must have been in there & I didn't know.
Ok, off to make the kids tea x
Love, hugs & spoons x0 -
Evening :hello:
Been AWOL for a while off the daily, been so busy and although couple of times I popped back in and was going to catch up I just couldn't quite find the time. Much better organised now and getting up a little earlier again so I seem to have acquired a little extra time
Me and OH were in Paris for our holiday's last week and it was so nice spending some quality time together and exploring. We also took a look around the Tiffany's which I LOVE, no purchases made but was nice to look around. My OH said he could see why it was so pricey as they had so many staff in there :rotfl:
TTFTM - I hope you get a better nights sleep this evening.
DG - Please send some sunny weather over here
we are wanting to get out on the allotment planting.
camelott - take care on your walk, a hot cup of tea will be in order when you get back!!
redruby - fingers crossed for your little doggy!!!
dumpling - hope you enjoyed your day shopping.
LW - mmmmm strubarb crumble sounds tasty, will be one I have to try.
meanmarie - try not to worry (I know this is easier said than done) and enjoy your holiday! I'm sure if they had big concerns they would of pulled you in before holiday to be checked.
mrsmortonharkert - Least the cat was OK, they get in to everywhere the scamps:)
Time to relax for the evening.
Hope everyone is well and hugs to anyone who needs/wants.Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
