Stop nuisance calls on mobile phone?
My mobile phone contract is due for renewal at the end of the month and I have been receiving calls about the renewal quite a few times every day for over a month now. I am also receving lots of calls about ppi. Now I no longer answer any call which is displayed as "No Caller ID" or "Unknown" and as a result I have not answered a call from the hospital because it was displayed as unknown but they did leave a message.
How do you stop receiving nuisance calls on your mobile phone?
BTW I did do a search regarding this but I could not find the information.
TIA

You can register a mobile number with the TPS, but no guarantee it will stop the calls. OH is getting them frequently so this is a reminder that I need to check their number is still registered.0

I don't think the TPS will be of much use, we receive a lot of land line calls from scammers (PPI, free boilers, etc) where they have a name and claim "we provided it", which means TPS is not going to stop them.
You might be able to store a "blank" number then block it, but unfortunately it probably won't be recognised by the phone when someone with "no caller ID" calls, but worth experimenting with? Also, any repeat callers who release the same number each time can be entered into your contacts then blocked. Note with an iPhone there is a facility to block calls from contacts entered in the phone contacts, but I've not tried it to see if it proves useful.0 -

It does IME.
See below in 2 moments for how to use it.💙💛 💔0 -
On the menu screen, hit 'phone'

Choose a number (or a contact), hit the 'info' on the right
Scroll down, press 'block this caller'
Press the red button, the contact should now be blocked.
