New Woodford Equity Income fund

And what about Bill Mott and Psigma? Hardly a stellar performance?
And yet I am considering the Woodford fund....0 -
to be fair, woodford is planning to invest in the same way he has until now. which is unlike william littlewood, who came back with a very different style of fund; or anthony bolton, who switched to a different market.
on the other hand, bill mott has done less well, despite managing a similar kind of fund to previsouly. and anthony nutt's performance record has deteriorated while he's stayed at the same fund (jupiter income). perhaps past performance just isn't a good indicator ...0 -
I'm going in for a small (2.5%) of my investments as I move away from smaller caps. Woodford did serve me reasonably well from 2002 to 2013 so I've made up my mind to do it and, as I invest for income, the 4% target will suit me fine.0

0.15% discount doesn't outweigh the 0.45% platform fee vs 0.25% at Cavendish though.
So if you want to invest £10000 in this fund you would recommend going to Cavendish with a worse website and quality of service to save £5 a year?
I know this is MSE but I don't think less than 2p a day per £10k invested is really going to make much difference.0 -

For 10k - so what?
But if you have 100 - 200 -300k in this and other funds which many do, you'd be mad to stay with H-L ... or too rich to care!0 -

There's also the transfer out costs at hl for example.0 -
It don't take long to make an interesting thread yet another anti-HL one. You guys are monotonous :-)0

Which parts of this thread do you feel are anti-HL?I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -
