Can I Ask The Landlord/Estate Agency to buy us a Freezer?

.Perhaps when they said it did have a freezer they meant the one in the fridge?
Even though I've relented to buying one, I'll just clarify this part.
The agent on our viewing showed us the fridge in the kitchen, but did not identify the freezer part to us. They didn't even open it, just mentioned it was the fridge. It was after this we asked where the freezer was, and they took us to the cupboard under the stairs and pointed to the one in there.
After that visit we were told that the freezer under the stairs was included with the rental. It was only two days before the tenancy was to start that I got a phone call stating otherwise.
So all in all the agent was misinformed which then led to us being misinformed. While I would love to kick up a fuss as the agent's communication has been less than stellar it is probably better, as said on here, to let it pass in order to keep on good terms.
I'll just consider my fridge/freezer purchase as an investment for my future house when I can buy one!0 -
I once rented a room in a house for 6 months where other than the bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers the only 'facilities' provided by the landlord was a kettle and access to a shower room where you had to put coins in a meter to heat the water. When I eventually found somewhere better that had a microwave, and they put in a bar fridge like you get in hotel rooms, I considered it luxury. Ah, the joys of living in Jersey.Make £2026 in 2026
