Ask the customer to leave it running for a few minutes to avoid knackering the battery?

Having the sales guy fire it up for a few minutes when they are done?

Have someone go round the 'looked at' cars with a battery charger? They presumably check the keys in/out, so it's presumably trivial to track which ones need attention.

All 3 solutions look better than having to run off and get the battery charger to show a customer a car.

To restore the battery power will require a run. Leaving it running for a few minutes is barely going to even cover the electric power used to start it up. You'd need to leave the engine running for a very long period to give it a worthwhile charge.

I doubt they check keys in and out to show customers. That would create vast amounts of unnecessary paperwork since these car supermarkets often have significant volumes of cars.

All the ones I've been to chuck the keys at the customers. They've all started. Any I've liked I've gone back and took for a test drive. Then I've bought he one I liked after that. Any fault I've picked up has been sorted.
