Perhaps cheating a little, but I get a lot of stuff on offer or YS and stick in the freezer.
Chiplolata sausages are good because they are half the size, ie half the price per sausage (I know its all the same, but bear with me). My fave way to use these is in a sausage and leek omelette.
Surprised omelette hasn't been mentioned yet as very quick to do! With chipolata sausages, they don't need pre-cooking, just chop them up into little bits. However, you can do basically anything in an omelette. Sausage and pea is another favourite of line, just plain (for any weight-loss wannabees), cheese, ham, onion, tuna etc...Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. My breakfasts vary between full English, mushroom and/or bacon omlettes, porridge with fruit, beans or scrambled eggs on toast.
I very rarely eat cereal as mentioned earlier I find I'm hungry again after a couple of hours so prefer to try and eat some protein of some sort and then I'm fine until lunchtime.

I try and pick up packs of bagels when they are yellow stickered- can often get them for anything from 20p-60p. I then split them before freezing, so they can just go straight in the toaster. I love bagels with either cream cheese or peanut butter and find them far more filling than toast.
We also eat a lot of porridge- I like it with banana and a tiny drizzle of maple syrup or a sprinkle of cinnamon. Also nice with half an apple grated in. My boys (1 & 4) like it with just raisins.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

Scrambled eggs on toast
Fried eggs on toast
boiled eggs and soldiers
poached eggs
omelettes
frittata
porridge with jam, hazlenut spread, marmalade, fruit or as my DD loves it with peanut butter, it is all a matter of taste.
English pancakes with lemon and sugar or try them rolled up with berries and a basic cream cheese or use fruit of choice. A bit decadent but still works out cheaper than cereal especially if you have home grown and much, much tastierBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
