A trigger is simply something that affects, or 'triggers', the prices on something else you've bought, whether that be on the eventual comparison or on the original shopping bill. For example, something that is part of a mbuy, the second (or however many number necessary for the mbuy) purchase 'triggers' the mbuy price. If it's a mix and match, an item, or items, that you bought within that mbuy may then appear at full price if (preferably) one of the other, different items in the mbuy does not appear on the comp. Perhaps because it is excluded from the comparison under the T&Cs for instance.

It need not be an excluded trigger (one that doesn't appear on the comp.). It could instead be that one, or more, of the items in the mbuy instore does not have the mbuy on it online (or even may have a different offer mbuy showing). Then that item acts as a trigger as it causes ('triggers') other items in the mbuy on the comp., and causes itself as well, to appear at full individual price since you got the mbuy on the actual shop but then the trigger item ensured it wasn't 'seen' by the comparison.

Or, in the past, we had seemingly random items that triggered much lower prices for competitors to appear on other items in the shopping, thus refunding more on the voucher, so that when you bought those items they 'triggered' the low competitor prices on certain others also bought in the same shopping. They were 'triggers' too, e.g. a small pot of Rice Pudding that made several pounds item all appear at 34p at the rival (prices given here may not be exact:D;)), or a S'price Shampoo that made £4 branded conditioners compare to 20p each elsewhere, thus refunding virtually your entire shopping or even more sometimes.

It's basically an item that 'triggers' something else to happen on the shopping.

You recognise triggers by your knowledge of prices of items on the shopping.

Phew.....thank goodness you didn't post the long version  :p :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thank you - I've managed to keep the weight down so I'm really plesed. I try to get down to 9st 6lb before holidays so that I've got a bit of 'spare' - and tend to put on around 4lbs each holiday (I love AI trips !). The extra comes off within 7/10 ays of getting home.

However, I am finding that I need to still have 3 days 'normal' followed by a fast day to keep my weight down. I was hoping that once I got to my target weight I would only need a fast day once a week - but its not working like that. Trouble is, I do enjoy good food and I like wine with whisky and an occasional dinner !

The 5:2 Diet is the only eating plan that I've found I could stick to - and actually works.

    Hows tricks :D

    Fine!:)

No I don't mean parking penalty or anything:rotfl:. Alright. Okay. Very well.

I'm going to Morries quite soon. Before I do, I'm about to launch into another lecture:D:D:rotfl: - this time, about the importance of special interests in the life of a person who has Asperger syndrome. They play a functional role. The downside is that they have a tendency to take over life and distract away from important things that need doing, such as household tasks (unless that's the special interest in the first place). I've been off for the last half hour or so and the dishes are now washed!:T:j The special interest provides an enjoyable and stress-free period, helping create piece of mind and enjoyment, and I'm getting a bit of a tingle of excitement about going to Morries:rotfl:. It was sort of unplanned (who says we can't deal with unforeseen events?:D) - I didn't wake up thinking I'd go to Morries today, and I hadn't thought about going there today on previous days, but just had a little twinge of an urge to go there now.

I do not mind if anyone (aau1?) thinks it is a whole waste of time or anyone thinks that most of the things are on msm now so what's the point? That's immaterial. It is the relaxing, the stress-free period of enjoyment that is the more important thing!!:) So what - and who is to choose for me how I choose to spend my time? (After of course the essential things are done.)

Off soon... to the NEW cheaper Morries!!:D:D Woo!!!:j(:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
