Dog food glitch thanks to Nenen
Sada have a '5 for £3' offer on Cesar dog food (little foil trays 150g each) so I decided to treat our pooch to some as she had her booster jab yesterday (sad I know but she's my baby )
Anyway - I think I have discovered a little glitch as I bought 5 assorted flavours (including one tray of 150g Cesar Country Kitchen with tasty turkey and brown rice in a delicious gravy) and the receipt showed the 5 for £3 discount but APG only showed the four flavours below:
A v M
1 x Cesar Chef's Choice Lightly Grilled White Fish, Ri... £0.75 £0.75
1 x Cesar Chef's Choice Lightly Grilled Chicken, Brown... £0.75 £0.75
2 x Cesar Classics with Tender Beef & Liver (150g) £1.60 £1.30
I've searched both MSM and the Sada website but can't find the Cesar Country Kitchen with tasty turkey and brown rice) flavour on either site so I think this flavour is a trigger. However, it does show up on Morribobs website.
The BC for the Cesar Country Kitchen with tasty turkey and brown rice is: 3 065890 121867

What does "trigger" mean? This word comes up regularly on this thread. I have looked in the definitions section in post #1, but it doesn't really explain it. What is a trigger and how do you spot one?
A trigger is simply something that affects, or 'triggers', the prices on something else you've bought, whether that be on the eventual comparison or on the original shopping bill. For example, something that is part of a mbuy, the second (or however many number necessary for the mbuy) purchase 'triggers' the mbuy price. If it's a mix and match, an item, or items, that you bought within that mbuy may then appear at full price if (preferably) one of the other, different items in the mbuy does not appear on the comp. Perhaps because it is excluded from the comparison under the T&Cs for instance.
It need not be an excluded trigger (one that doesn't appear on the comp.). It could instead be that one, or more, of the items in the mbuy instore does not have the mbuy on it online (or even may have a different offer mbuy showing). Then that item acts as a trigger as it causes ('triggers') other items in the mbuy on the comp., and causes itself as well, to appear at full individual price since you got the mbuy on the actual shop but then the trigger item ensured it wasn't 'seen' by the comparison.
Or, in the past, we had seemingly random items that triggered much lower prices for competitors to appear on other items in the shopping, thus refunding more on the voucher, so that when you bought those items they 'triggered' the low competitor prices on certain others also bought in the same shopping. They were 'triggers' too, e.g. a small pot of Rice Pudding that made several pounds item all appear at 34p at the rival (prices given here may not be exact:D;)), or a S'price Shampoo that made £4 branded conditioners compare to 20p each elsewhere, thus refunding virtually your entire shopping or even more sometimes.
It's basically an item that 'triggers' something else to happen on the shopping.
(Now, wondering if I've explained all this clearly:think:.)
You recognise triggers by your knowledge of prices of items on the shopping.0 -

Made me giggle!
Ive just noticed your weight loss in your signature! WOW! Well done :T:T
Thank you - I've managed to keep the weight down so I'm really plesed. I try to get down to 9st 6lb before holidays so that I've got a bit of 'spare' - and tend to put on around 4lbs each holiday (I love AI trips !). The extra comes off within 7/10 ays of getting home.
However, I am finding that I need to still have 3 days 'normal' followed by a fast day to keep my weight down. I was hoping that once I got to my target weight I would only need a fast day once a week - but its not working like that. Trouble is, I do enjoy good food and I like wine with dinner and an occasional whisky !

Well then, pressure test is easy peasy!;)
(Where could I have got your OH not liking eye drops from then?Teach me to skim while eating my lunch)
Couple of drops to dilate your pupil and numb your eye- this is the weirdest feeling. The bridge of my nose always feels itchy just after. Then the doctor will probably have a good look at the back of your eye, then the pressure test is where they touch your eye with a piece of equipment which measures the pressure. This sounds scarier than it is. You feel nothing because of the drops and tbh the first time I had it I didn't know it was happening and was surprised to find out what had been done.
You've had babies, this will be a breeze.:D
In my experience the numbness wears off within an hour but the dilated pupils last a fair bit longer, 5 or 6 hours iirc.
It's only a game
