Help need please with petrol cost for journey

I've been shuttling my father-in-law to hospital appointments once a week for the last 5 weeks - round trip about 15 miles. He paid for parking the first week we went as we weren't sure where free parking was, since then he's paid nothing. Thanks me every time, offers me petrol money, I turn it down. He's now finished at the hospital so he cooked a great Sunday dinner last week to thank me for helping out (for me and his daughter - roast lamb with all the trimmings, and he makes fantastic roast taters), I appreciate it, and we're all happy. Nuff said.0

However anyone who runs an auto 911 isn't exactly down to their last couple of quid, enjoy the time with your daughter and forget the money aspect.
What with the hostility the OP is just wants to give her daughter some money for her fuel cost its not that the daughter is expecting anything. Its up her daughter to refuse. I would go with the 30mpg as stated above as fair figure.0 -
Thank you for (some of) your replies. Mankysteve has it correct, I just wanted to give my daughter some money to help towards petrol as she is always driving me somewhere and putting herself out generally. I have a car of my own but as I have not been in great health for some time and therefore not been driving and she is always asking what she can do to help. To the people who said 'she drives a Porsche, she can afford it' and words along those lines, you obviously didn't bother reading my second post. I don't see what is wrong in offering something towards the cost of petrol unless the person is rolling in it and therefore doesn't need any financial help (which is not the case with my daughter) but I will not take my daughters for granted. I may have given birth to them but that doesn't mean I should be thinking it's payback time.Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0
