DO IT YOURSELF, it is straight forward.
What if the clips are sturdier than parts of the sofa? It could pull the fastening part off the sofa rather than break the clip.0 -

If they turn the sofa gently over, they will be able to see the clips. All sectional furniture has a way you can separate it, you don't need the supplier to come out and hold your hand. They just want to blame someone IMO.0 -

How do you know this? On many sectional sofa there are multiple fastenings, at different heights.
And seeing the very bottom of an in-place clip gives no indication at all of whether it is stronger or weaker than the screws holding the fastenings onto the sofa.rustyboy21 wrote: »All sectional furniture has a way you can separate it, you don't need the supplier to come out and hold your hand.
Are you claiming the sofa doesn't have these extra clips added? In which case you'd know more about the sofa than the OP itself - an impressive claim if it weren't so obviously wrong.
Or are you just pointing out the blindingly obvious, that the sofa should have a way to separate it, but in this case doesn't?rustyboy21 wrote: »They just want to blame someone IMO.
So because I point out that it may not be as easy as you seem to think, you've decided the OP is just looking to blame someone. Top logic there...0 -
Forgot how much of a numpty you can be.
It was taken in to their house, it can be taken out again the same way. No retailer in the world would make a product that they had to go back to, in order to clean it. Google how to dismantle a sectional sofa online and it comes up with page after page of details how to do it. I have done it myself and it took all of 5 minutes. You lift one side up, whilst pushing other side down, or just unscrew the pin bracket holding them together. If they were not held together like this, you would be skating across the floor, every time you sat on it.
Have you any experience with this type of product?
Using consumer law to try and get over that the OP hasn't even had a look underneath as far as they have said so far, just wants to blame the retailer for it, is very poor. If they want the retailer out to dismantle then fine, but pay for the callout.
Stop being pedantic, like you always are. It is not a nice shade on you !:D0
