The battle to get online bank statements from natwest for mortgage

True but these are only available at the end of a statement period and some people have quarterly statement periods (why I have no idea!).
Fortunately for me I was near the end of a period when I wanted to apply for my mortgage so just had to wait a few days but wouldn't be much good if you were a week into the quarter!
You can request for them to change statement periods to monthly, quarterly or annually. Generally some of the older 90 day notice savings accounts were put onto quarterly statements. Anyway glad you got it sorted.0 -
There seems to be a link between changing address and banking systems reverting to paper statements.
I've had this problem with Barclays and Bank of Ireland. No-one that you speak to on the phone appears to be aware of it - but I changed address in May last year, and the online statements stopped in June. I noticed immediately with the Barclays account, because I use it all the time, but took me a while to notice with BoI.
Why the system should do this is a mystery to me (and to the banks too apparently), but we got £50 out of Barclays for general hassle and inconvenience. No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0
