Is there no such thing as "clean contract" left anymore?

After 4 years of staying away from mobile phones and contracts due to company phone, i'm back in the market hunting for a deal that is suitable for me, but finding it quite difficult to find a hassle free deal...

It seems most of the suitable deals work by cashback, but you need to be very careful and go through a lot of hassle to get your cashback.

My needs are simple... Any phone will do. I need around 400-600 minutes x-network anytime and not a lot of texts. I don't want to pay more than £25/month and be able to port my number (vodafone don't port them for some strange reason i'm yet to figure out)

Can anyone recommend a shop/deal/phone?

(I've checked e2save, cpw, link, etc already)
Been there... done that...

£15 a month tariffs are only £55 Quidco... either way they are 250mins (or less). If you were to go with Three your best tariff will be to double the £15 talker tariff, so for £20 you get 500 mins and 100 txt plus your choice of a range of handsets. Throw in the Quidco and the £30 recommend a friend scheme and its a pretty decent deal.

Sounds very good. What's the catch? Is there an extra charge involved when 3 is out of it's own network reception?

No, there isn't in the UK.

However I found 3 to be rather expensive when roaming.

3 is more expensive to call from a BT landline than the other networks I believe.

voda do port numbers but if u dont have the pac code ready and u go to a retail store they may not want to do it ...because one is getting the pac code which with some company is hastle as they do not give it over the phone and have to post it to u

Secondly unless it is a voda pay as u go then u have a problem because voda do not give a temporary number and due to this reason the retail store cannot give the phone until its connected. If you get a phone its not connected then u can cancel the pac and it will be a misconnect the contract will be void and you will have a free phone. To avoid this they dont give you the phone.

Also its impossible to port from voda contract to voda contract. However nothing is impossible u can port the contract number to a virgin simcard and then use that for awhile and then port it to your new voda contract. However the porting has to be done on the day of sale.

With orange and t mob it is within six months.....
