EGG Money Manager

Egg money manager still broken this morning, haven't been able to log into Natwest for ages, and my balances are randomly doubled.
I've now given up with Egg completely, as I no longer hold accounts with them anyway, and signed up to First Direct internet banking plus. Don't have to be a FD customer, sign up in minutes online, and you can also add many more things than EMM such as your house value, art etc and bills. It also looks nicer. A no-brainer switch IMO
Another option is Account Unity, which I understand provides the underlying software for FD Plus and Egg MM anyway. Of the three, I prefer Account Unity. https://www.ewise.com.au/accunity/aa/home.asp0 -
Who is reposnible for fraudulant use of my acount(s) if caused or allowed by these services?0

Just tried this one as egg money will not log onto NatWest or American express and it looks really good thanks for the info. I have deleted all my accounts from egg money manager and will ditch my egg card as I don’t use it anyway.
There are 2 accounts that I cannot use with it Aldermore savings and Castle Money but these did not work with egg either.0 -

I shouldn't think that their use alters any legal responsibility. Your log-in details don't leave your computer - that was something that concerned me when I started looking at them, but your details are stored on *your* computer. The Account Unity server stores a key which is necessary to enable access to those details, so even if someone else accessed your computer, they wouldn't be able to get your on-line banking details from it unless they also knew your Account Unity log-in too.
If someone hacked into your computer, the Account Unity file on it wouldn't give them any information.
If someone hacked into Account Unity's server, they still wouldn't have any info on your accounts, because that info never goes near that server.
(The same is true of EMM and FD Plus.)
Have a look at the FAQ at http://www.ewise.com.au/accunity/info/faq.asp0 -
Since the beginning of october when using EMM it has ben impossible to show any account from Abbey. After numerous emails to Egg We were informed that Abbey have changed certain log in details or secirity aspects of their web site and Egg were sorting out a "Fix". This was supposed to be in place by lunchtime 21st Oct. This so called fix did not work. we have been in constant contact with Egg and a guy named Mark Gales from the tech supposrt team. emailed us a log file to check as to exactly what was happening when we tried to access money manager. This has been sent and by all accounts worked so we now wait with baited breath for any further updates as to why Abbey accounts will not load into EMM. Also Egg have informed us that Nat west have also made changes and so any Nat west accounts will not load at present.
This appears to show that EMM is fallinag apart !!!! and surely with the resources of a huge organisation like Egg this cannot be sorted. very frustrating.
Hope this helps people with info

I agree rabbitt. I know its a free service etc. but if they are going to offer it, they should ensure it works, or at least explain why it doesn't. Sure, other banks change their login procedures etc, but how bloody long does it take to fix? All the other acc. aggregators seem to manage fine.
My advice to everyone is to ditch Egg for one of the other suggestions listed above then message them to tell them you've done it.0 -

My Egg Money Manager shows my Abbey Zero card just fine - it didn't work for a couple of weeks when Abbey switched their log in process, but now it's fine.
Are you talking about bank/savings account?
I had a problem with Barclays as well when they changed their log in process, and for a couple of days I had to log in to Barclays directly. But it was fixed with a couple of days.
I must be one of the lucky ones, because whenever I have a problem I send them a secure message and it's resolved within a couple of days (with the exception of the Abbey fix which took a little longer).0 -
I have attempted to enter Abbey Zero on a number of ocassions since its inception, without success. however, the NatWest issue is the more important for me at least.0

I think the whole thing is serious because EGG keep advertising their system as making life easy and it just dont work at the moment. What is odd that I have now tried accountunity and downloaded it. It took just a couple of mins to download and then enter log in details for hailfax, abbey natwest alliance and leicester. Bingo it works in a flash all accounts listed with balances etc clearly shown. So if that works then why doesnt Egg MM because I was told that that software is the basis for EMM I may be wrong but hey give it a go and then email Egg and tell them that works0 -

I'd guess that either
1) AccountUnity aren't sending updates out or
2) Egg are slow in applying those updates.
My money's on #2.Conjugating the verb 'to be":
