Our house (Harpenden) has just gone under offer at 45% above the price we paid in late 2007!!!
The market is really crazy in central Harpenden, particularly close to the train station0 -
bought house in Watford in 2007 for 185k, just sold for 285k, put it on the market for 300k at the start of June, accepted an offer of 285k in mid june, completes next week, might also add that one agent valued it at 265, the other at 270 and I said to put it on at 300k as I wasn't in a hurry. Just goes to show that house valuations aren't an exact science and the market hasn't cooled in Herts.0
