Are house prices in Herts cooling off?

What are your views on house prices in Hertfordshire?
I have recently put my house not the market. I've just had a phone call from one of the agents I got a valuation from (but am not using). They did not seem to have realised that I have signed up with one of their competitors.
In the course of the conversation, they stated that the market is cooling off. Has anyone else been told that over the past couple of weeks?

I'm not sure if there's anyone on here from Herts.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0

OK, let's broaden it to Home Counties or even the South East. Someone on here must live in the South East, I think about a third of the UK population live here!
Sorry it's a bit of an in-joke. There are loads of people from Herts“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -

None that I know of - a few from greater Herts.
But I don't think the housing market has been as strong this spring as London - quality stuff went quickly but more 'average' stuff seems to have sat and is now seeing asking price reductions but there is also practically nothing new coming on - seems 'spring' is over already. Could you try renting, our letting agent contacted us recently saying they were handling a large company relocation and looking for high quality stock.I think....0 -
The latest LR report showed +0.9 MoM for Hertfordshire, + 6.9 YoY.

Whether that can be classed as cooling off, I don't know.
Of course, there will be variations throughout Hertfordshire down to city/town/village/area/street/house number level.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

I'm trying to buy and sell at the same time, so I don't have to go into rented if possible.0 -
At least they are cooling off in Beds!Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0

Sussex is booming. Booming with boomers wanting to downsize but not much actually coming on to the market.
First time buyers are distraught and disenfranchised. As usual.0 -
Cooling off?
Sellers have cooled off, certainly nothing coming on the market new - even very poor stock is selling with buyers desperate to grab anything they can.
In a market like this it's better to have a pig in a poke than nothing at all .....Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -
I'm in south Herts. prices round here have been going up. I don't know if this a local issue, being so near London. certainly flats I was watching at £230k are now asking £270k.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
