Bantex seems to have vanished after making that statement. I don't think I have ever seen that happen before on this board, so I hope s/he is OK and is not lying in a hospital bed unable to post the information.
For a moment, I was worried also, but his/her on/offline lamp is green now, so I imagine s/he is doing allright.
I have no doubt s/he will come back to us shortly.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

The state already own thousands of acres of unused land withing the M25. So no infrastructure needed and loads of demand. Renting out at say £1000 per month would show return of better than 10%. And also help alleviate a housing shortage.Do you have information on this land, I'd be interested in details of where it is and why it is unused.mayonnaise wrote: »I checked it out but couldn't find it.
Any chance you have a link or another source of information showing these thousands of acres of unused land within the M25?
Bantex?
Anything?Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -
The info is not published, but try driving around and you will see many disused hospitals, schools, MOD land etc with nothing being done to it. Croydon council actualy own a fair amount of farmland for some reason.0

Yep, this all surely adds up to thousands of acres.
When I have a moment, I'll try driving around to see if it all adds up.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

I drive around quite a lot and haven't seen these places with infrastructure just waiting for £100k houses to be built that can raise 10% rental yield.0 -

Maybe the plan is to decommission existing sites such as RAF Norhalt.:wall:
