Surely they would have benefitted from the tax revenues if the sold directly as well.
You've missed the point that this has not supported the development of low cost social housing which there is a dire shortage of.
I don't know what size of properties these are, but already the companies cost is £205k per property, before development costs are factored in or margin.:wall:

Any chance you have a link or another source of information showing these thousands of acres of unused land within the M25?
Hmnn, Bantex doesn't seem to be very forthcoming with details on thousands of acres of unused land within the M25.0 -

It seems that it's the same old characters each and every time.0 -

No commercial developer would have taken the site on. As simply not viable. So while there's a loss in the short term in the longer term there are enormous benefits to the project being undertaken.
Affordable housing is part of the further building that is being undertaken within the park site. .0 -

Really,
How many affordable homes will be built and at what price.
I'll be interested to see a link:wall:

UK was a pioneerMPC will follow the Fed up just as they followed the Fed down. First rise? Q 1-2 2015 is my guess
The FED is still doing QE. It will be a surprise if they manage to quit that habit first.
I dont think either nation will raise any time before its forced, say 5% inflation or something perceived as too large to dodge or juggle
When they do raise it'll lag badly and be ineffective. Theres always the chance of a token measure but with the FED so slow to stop QE even I dont think its nearby.
If there was a genuine amount of excess tax income then it might be easy enough to raise rates. We still have the defecit, they wont do the hard measures until its the last choice so I would guess 2016 or later still if it all appears 'fine'0 -
Problem solved by the sounds of it.
These are meant to be cheap houses.
They don't get sewers, water, electricity, gas, made up roads, street lighting, parks, schools, hospitals and shops as well 'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

We're still waiting for these thousands of acres of unused land to be identified first. Without the land you can't have houses, let alone the sewers, utilities, roads, etc.
Bantex seems to have vanished after making that statement. I don't think I have ever seen that happen before on this board, so I hope s/he is OK and is not lying in a hospital bed unable to post the information.0
