T-mobile contract cancellation

My contract with T-mobile ends on Sept 2014, currently paying around £16 per month, is there any way cancelling with a small to zero fee? I think they've introducing annual RPI increases, right to leave mid-contract, any grounds? I intend to keep my number when I leave them.

Thank you

If you want to keep your number ask them for a PAC 30 days before the end of the contract but make sure you use the PAC within the 30 days or the contract will revert to a monthly rolling contract.

There are a couple of massive threads that are always near the top of this forum regarding price rises and T&C changes. Might be worth a read for you.

You usually have a set time to raise your objections after they notify you (30 days or so) so you may have missed the boat this time and could have to wait until Spetember to leave penalty free.

Realistically you need to allow a week for the number porting to be safe. You dont want to lose your number. With this in mind you need to request your PAC 30 days before your minimum term date and use it 5 (working) days before it expires. T-Mobile are known for charging if you request your PAC before the minimum term date saying that you are cancelling early. They cannot do this and everyone who complains gets the money refunded.

You will get a small cancellation charge which will be the remaining days between when your number transfers out to the end of the 30 days (or minimum term date) but that should only be a couple of days max.

I suggest you read some of the threads highlighted. Particularly the one about T-Mobile PAC charges.
