Expensive /cheap face, hand and foot creams

Options
I have been using O'real day and night face creams for a few weeks. Although they are lovely, they are terribly expensive and I can't really justify them all the time.

Likewise, with Bodyshop Hemp Handcream and Footcream

So...........yesterday, I bought a pot of cheap-and-cheerful Superdrug face cream, and a pot of ordinary own-brand aqueous cream.

I've stirred some of the face cream into the pots of expensive O'real cream, mixing it all in well, and, really, I would not have noticed the difference.

With the handcream, I put some of the Hemp handcream into a spare pot and mixed in some of the aqueous cream. For the Footcream, I added some of the aqueous cream to the existing pot of expensive stuff. Again, I would not really have noticed any difference.

Looks as though I will be able to save money on buying expensive creams by topping them up with own-brand versions!

Thanks for this. I'm going to move it to the health and beauty board where I think it will get more response.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

Confused. Why bother with the mixing? Why not use ordinary cheap baby lotion as a cleanser, Aldis (fantastic) moisturiser, and the aqueous cream foor body (and feet). If its the smell or lack of it you object to, just add drop of your fav perfume, or for a kinder version a drop or two of lavender essential oil.

I've rad a lot of reports in the papers recently about a baby cream in asda (i think its asda's own) that's flying off the shelves because women are using it on their faces and are raving about the results. I think it's dirt cheap and i believe it's like a baby's bottom cream (sorry i don't know the exact name but as they keep saying Asda in the reports i'm assuming it's asda's own brand).

I didn't get on with it, it made my face burn.

I absolutely love Palmers shea butter formula - for body, face *and* feet. It's cheap but hard to find - I had to order it online.

For a night cream, I use Astral.
