Hi i am looking to travel to Vancouver, Canada next month and im having trouble finding cheap flights.
I need to travel around 19th june and return around 30th june (i am fairly flexible on the days i can leave and return...if it means i can get a cheaper flight)
Ideally i would like to travel from Birmingham but dont mind going to machester or london (if the deal is good)
I have checked skyscanner but everything is well over £750!
Can anybody offer advice on where else to look etc please?
Thanks

just had a look on http://www.airtransat.co.uk/en/index.aspx
from gatwick to vancover 20/06-02/07 £551 rtn2011 Wins £3512 2012 Wins £1531
2013 Wins £2946 2014 Wins £1374
2015 Wins £2800 So Far!0 -
So close to departure there will be very few options for cheap seats.
Cheapest options seem to be Air Transat from Gatwick
20th June to 2nd July shows as £551 (note that £381 of this is airport taxes and surcharges)0 -
Sorry if this is obvious but while searching make sure the flight is to Vancouver, British Columbia. There's another Vancouver in Washington State. No sensible person would get them confused but a computer system might."Such an enormous country, you realize when you cross it" - Jack Kerouac0

Thanks guys, that is a really good price. I am from Birmingham though so getting to gatwick and back might bump up the price abit. Plus it adds on 5+ hours travel time which i was trying to avoid.
But those flights are direct so its still not a bad deal.
It would still mean a total travel time of 15 hours+ and the non direct flights i have found from birmingham have a total travel time of 17 hours, with 2 stops.
There seems to be a route via brussels air + air canada flying from Birmingham, which was showing up at £530 last week. There were many flights and many different options which all seemed to mysteriously raise up in price by the next day! I was hoping they would come down again....but from what you are saying its not very likely now?
Thank you for your help it is much appreciated!0 -

Unlikely, as Vancouver in WA doesn't have an airport. Have you considered flights to Seattle?
Sometimes cheaper, although not always.

Sorry, should have clarified, no airport big enough for any commercial airliners to fly to

That's true of course, but never underestimate the ability of computer search routines to come up with something crazy.
Well it certainly would have to be 'crazy' to turn up a flight to an airport that no commercial airlines fly to!
In fact neither skyscanner nor kayak recognise it's name or code (VUO, but then it's an FAA code, not recognised by IATA)2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07
