Orange wont reduce my tarrif

After reading all the posts and advice on this site I have just phoned Orange to ask them to reduce my tarrif onto the lowest plan that they have.
Due to work phone I never use the mobile anymore.

9 months into Orange Dolphin 35 plan and just want to reduce to the lowest one I can get.

Orange customer services have told me that I can reduce to £30 a month and then after 6 months reduce to £25 per month.

Is there any legislation I can throw at them as every body else seems to get reduced to the lower plans straight away?

double check what you have been advised...as soon as you move to the lower tariff the next day you should be able to call and request to move to the next price plan down from your next bill date!!

I have just called them again and got a different person but the info was the same.
I can only drop one price plan every 6 months.

I have read so many posts about dropping to the lowest tarrif and even Martin states it can be done.

Any body know any legislation for this or am I relying on the T's & C's from Orange (which I never got)
