Morning all,
HH - Fabulous news. Twins how wonderful and lovely names too.
TTFTM - It must be hell seeing your DD like this.
Hugs for everyone else that wants or needs them.
Raining here and it looks like it's set in for the day. Washing on the airer and in the TD. Sorted all my paperwork out this morning, which is always quite satisfying.
Not much else to say so have a good day0 -
Fiftyeighter – don’t worry about being all doom and gloom, it helps sometimes to write everything down. That’s how I feel. X
What’s a non smoking appointment? And who do you have it with? Sounds like something I should go to, not that I smoke much, but still… bad for you and all that money down the drain!
Hester – wonderful news. Not that I can even contemplate the idea of any more babies, but it’s still nice to hear of other people having them!
TTFTM – I was on those drugs for a little while. Think they helped (it was for PND), but thankfully didn’t feel the need to stay on them long.
Dumpling – glad that your kitten has settled down, but such a shame that it took what happened to make it happen. Think my cat is “evil” just because of anxiety. I have two small children running around the house yelling and singing, so I can kinda see why she’s petrified. At least she can hide though, my poor dog is always putting up with stuff!
And those loom bracelet making things, I’ve heard about them. Was thinking of getting one for my daughter, but not sure if she is old enough (5), but I’m fairly sure the younger one is too young (3), but she won’t let the older one get on with anything without her being involved. Feel sorry for my older one sometimes!
Dinner tonight is a good old faithful, sausages with a certain packet sauce that my girls love and pasta. They haven’t been eating well, so mum figured she’d feed them something she knows they like.
Kinda stole my idea for what I will be cooking for my new recipe (News Years Resolution) on Monday. Was going to find a recipe with sausages, but now I’ve decided to buy some lamb and see how they get on with it. Was thinking Irish stew of some sort, but they don’t like potatoes! How can you not like potatoes?!Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Sorry Pollyanna, I never explain myself properly. I'm desperately trying to stop smoking. I have asthma and the start of CPOD think that's what it's called. Lol anyway it's run through the Dr,s. You choose patches, inhalators, sprays anything you feel may help to quit smoking . Plus you have the support of a nurse. I'm not doing very well to be honest. I keep having an odd cig, probably about 3 a day. I have to learn to be stronger.
TTFTM. I do hope your DD gets on ok. Isn't it awful watching your children suffer?
Well no gardening today, shame as it always cheers me up. Hope for better tomorrow.
Having chicken, new pots and salad tonight, easy.
I must have the laziest dog in the world. He sleeps all night without moving, gets up when we do and falls asleep on the chair or my lap straight away. He,s not even old just two and a half. Mind you the other one more than makes up for it. She,s a nutty dog, over excitable and forever charging around. Funny thing is though they can't bear to be apart.
Animals hey, but I couldn't be without them.0 -
Rain here today, willfinish some knitting, cook dinner, make bread, some twinks and other bits and pieces.
DD4 still here on crutches, doc advised that she would not be insured to drive....may be on school run next week if she still not fit...its the early mornings that kill me, no longer used to them.
Hester, congratulations to you all, good weights, hope that DD will get the odd 5 minutes to herself in next 20 years!
Need to start the bread or it wont be ready to go in oven atsame time as lamb roast for dinner.
Have a good day everybody

Hello all
Congratulations Hester! :j What good weights for twins as well, and lovely names xxx
Well today I've not achieved much. I am feeling so lazy today. And the weather is awful.
I need to push the Hoover around before I get ds2 from school because he hates the noise.
For now I am wasting my time watching Friends...
Love. Hugs & spoons xxx0 -
Fifty-eighter so sorry to hear about your DS's illness; maybe that explains part of why he doesn't get in contact for ages? Also, dealing with an ongoing illness, it's very easy to completely lose track of passage of time, I find; you can think you haven't written to X for a few months, and when you check, you find to your horror it's actually a couple of years!!
TTFTM I hope your poor DD gets some relief with her new meds. I can so sympathise; I've been on anti-d's of one sort and another for 42 years now.
Nothing thrilling happening here, as per usual. I washed a skirt this morning, one that runs better than Usain Bolt so has to be done on its own; and having to dry it indoors, as it's wet out there.
Also made a lemming cake, as Mr LW will take a dim view if there's no cake for his lunch box tomorrow.
We need to organise a dirty weekend, too, if possible. Get your minds out of the gutter - what I refer to is digging up some of the garden, and shifting some dirt to the gap under the fence that the rats-with-bushy-tails aka squirrels use as a pathway. One of the dogs we have booked in later in the year is a "Chorkie" - ie a Chihuahua/Yorkie cross, so she'll be small enough to get under the fence if we don't get it sorted. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Lame wolf. Thank you for your kind words. Yes I can understand your reasoning but he has been like this since his dad and I parted, all of 21 years ago. The dad has since died through his illness, he was an alcoholic and very aggressive. My son hadn't been feeling ill and only found out he had bone cancer after going to the doctors for hip pain. He found out it was cancer 2 days before he phoned me. However at least he contracted me and I'm so grateful he did. He has it in his pelvis, spine and rib. I'm devastated. Just feel I want to hug him but I can't he moved over 200 miles away. I might add without telling me.
I love him so much and so wish I had a better relationship with him. But I have to think positive and at the moment he is talking to me. Thanks again Lamewolf it good to have support.0 -
