Good morning everyone :j,
Congrats to Hester on the safe arrival of the twins, must be lovely to have such a dinky pair
.
TTFM - sorry that your daughter is struggling on her meds. It is worth persevering for another week or so but if they don't suit her there are usually more to try. I had to try about a dozen different meds over the years until I got some that control the symptoms without 'zombifying'. Sending you and your DD a hug though anyway.
Pollyanna - my cat used to have a twin brother and they were the most evil kittens I have ever owned. They both destroyed furniture, wallpaper and carpets but sadly one of the kittens got squashed by a car and he obviously was the ringleader as Pango has completely settled down now and is lovely.
Lamewolf - sorry to hear about your OH's hernia. Unfortunately it looks like my hubby won't be able to have keyhole because it is situated too deep inside....and he has a big tummy....but I shall be very relieved when it is all done and dusted.
Phew, that was a bit of a marathon of remembering things:rotfl:.
Anyway, today it is pouring down and I'm off to meet my mother for a coffee at the local 'spoons. My daughters also want me to get them some thing like a loom with elastic bands so they can make bracelets and other tat! This means catching four buses in total, I hope they appreciate my efforts :A
Well that's all for now, hope you manage to have a nice day despite the weather, take care x0 -
Hester - so happy for you all xxxxxxxxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
HH congrats xx
Been AWOL for a while but had loads of changes going on .
Finish work in the school tomorrow and start new job on Monday so been busy sorting out my office (how much stuff can one person collect over 6 1/2 years).
Had a lovely card off the kids yesterday which had me in tears as it was homemade and the verse they put was beautiful.
DD and me are going to brave the rain this morning to pop into town and have a treat out as it will be the last time for a while we can spend time alone together (new working hours ect) so looking forward to that.
Looks like i have a buyer for my little car at last so thats another thing crossed off the list.
So inbetween packing house (house came with the job) and packing office ect i have not had much time for old style things. But i promise once i am sorted i will return to the fold.
Hugs to all those who are feeling poorly xxBright Blessings xx0 -
Morning all,
HH Congratulations, how lovely! My godson's little girl is called Marla, great name!
Ebay sending today. Got a hat that I need a box for.
My new mobile bill was £32.09:eek: I have a new phone, and I was supposed to get 3gb of data. Apparently I went over it by £14. Can't understand it, as most of my internet use is email from my home broadband. Lady was lovely, and said she has sent my bill for investigation.:(
Hospital later, my local one. Consultant wants to catch up with my treatment at Kings College.
Have a good day all!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Have a good day everyone xx0 -
Good morning all,
Wow congratulations Hester, what beautiful names, and good weights too x
TTFTM I feel your pain, my middle son has problems with anxiety and depression. He's well at the moment but it's awful when your worried about your children, big hugs Hun x
It's dull and wet here again. I shall spend the morning pottering, washing etc. this afternoon I need to go to the doctors. He prescribed Tegretol for my Neuralgia, but it's making me very sleepy and very very itchy so need to check back with him.
Looks like our barbecue at the weekend will be indoors as the forecast is rain, it doesn't matter really just more room with people outside.
Poor dh finished the grouting about 10.30 last night, tonight he will finish the door frame and put the door on, then we can put the shower back. It's looking lovely.:)
I'm stiff as a board this morning so I'm going to have a bath as it seems to ease my aching joints.
Have a good Thursday xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Hi everyone,
Hester, congratulations and well done to your DD.
TTFTM I hope things get sorted for your DD soon.
It's a gloomy day here but I don't need to go out. I want to finish the top of the quilt I'm making for DD's friend, Dan. I'm quite pleased with the way it's turned out so far, apart from having to unpick one long seam twice due to my own carelessness. Then I need to make a "sandwich" of it and quilt it. I've found that I'm a finisher when it comes to my quilting, I don't like half finished project hanging about. It's a relief because I have left lots of knitted items and tapestry unfinished in the past.
Apart from that it's the usual cleaning and cooking.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning all,
Hester what lovely news. Congratulations on the birth of your Grandchildren. Not a bad weight either for twins. So pleased for the family.
Well I was going down to see Mom today but its chucking down. Ive just been and retrieved my wheelie bin and recycle bags and got soaked in the process. Mom can wait.
'Youngest' had a mini melt down yesterday afternoon when his skateboard split. Some of it was justified, some of it was 'spoilt child syndrome'. All is sorted now (but the resentment towards his Dad still lingers).
Usual daily chores to be completed. I haven't started them yet.
Tea.... well that's going to be a bit of a freezer lucky dip I'm afraid. With mash for Hubby and cheesy mash for 'Youngest'. That should please the both of them.
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day all.

Congratulations Hester. What wonderful news on this grey morning.
Been up hours and still in my dressing gown. Can't seem to get motivated this morning. Have to be at non smoking in an hour so will have to get on.
Was hoping to get in garden this morning, do a bit of planting up. No such luck it's rainy and miserable out there, a bit like how I feel. Lol.
Well must move my bottom and do some work.
The dogs are looking as lethargic as me, just snoozing. Do you think they get vibes from us humans.0
