ICE Gatwick

Astraeus

Due to fly from Gatwick South on Sunday and their collection rates for euros appear to trump any delivery or collection rates however I am disconcerted by this unguaranteed rate which is uplifted by a print voucher. Am I at risk of being stung for a poor exchange rate at the airport and should I buy elsewhere beforehand to lock in a rate?

There's other ICE places that offer a similar rate with a voucher, can you get to any of the others?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

If you're in London Best Foreign Exchange give a better rate than ICE for collection.

I'm not in London and don't know that I can get to any of the other ICE locations unfortunately. I may not risk it and just get Moneycorp to take care of it for me.0

No problemo
Every time I have printed the ICE voucher I noticd it says 'not guaranteed...' but
I always get the rate printed- e.g today, a stonking 1.206 euros to the pound at ICE Waterloo,

I can't get to an ICE location but find that the Thomas Cook site https://www.whatstherate.co.uk gives pretty good rates and you pick up from your local travel agent.
At the time of writing ICE are quoting 1.21 and Whatstherate is 1.20.
The difference is that the rate is fixed for the day. You place an order online but pay on collection.
I recently got some $ and was able to specify the note denominations.
Ok, it isn't the best rate going but it's better than most.

just checked it should be.co.uk, but you can get there from the thomascook website
For dollars it is better than ICE today, not as good as using the best cards in an ATM of course0 -

Apologies for the error. I've amended the website address in my posting to .co.uk0
