Offerbank- is it a dodgy site?

I don't know if you'll think I'm a shill as I haven't posted much here, but I've been reading here for several years, and unlike all the people who say Offerbank "must be a scam" I've actually purchased a few items from Offerbank and can also report excellent prices with no problems.
My latest purchase was the 10.5 inch Galaxy Tab S - I paid just £340 for it when new and within a few days it arrived here in the UK by Fed Ex. What's more, as they hadn't got stock of the T800 wifi only model I ordered, they actually sent the more expensive 4G/ LTE model at no extra cost. It has had updates from samsung and no sign of any issues with it so far - have tried it on Voda, EE, and Three and had 4G working on all so it seems to be a fully unlocked UK compatible version.
But sure, don't purchase from there if you're worried as more purchases mean more chance if they are selling things too cheap somehow then they might get caught, and I love using them to get bargains so sure, I'll jump on the bandwagon, avoid! avoid! Must be dodgy!0 -
I bought an HTC One Mini 2 from Offerbank. It was significantly cheaper than anywhere else and delivery was as quick as promised on their website.
However, the phone developed a fault with the microphone. Offerbank say they supply phones with a 12 month warranty of their own - there is no UK warranty as the phone is shipped from Dubai. The device was returned on 2/11/14 and has still not been returned on 23/12/14.
Despite my current concerns that I may never see the phone again, Offerbank have always replied to my emails in a plausible manner. But it's been (nearly) two months now, which is two months too long. Also, the purchaser is responsible for cost of postage for warranty claims, which eats into the initial savings.
Offerbank have excellent discounts with quick delivery, but if your device develops a fault, things may not be so straightforward.
I'll provide an update when (if?) the phone is returned.
UPDATE: Offerbank sent a brand new phone to replace the faulty unit. This is on 14/01/15, so over two months since sending it off for repair. When I last spoke to their customer support, I was told the repair centre was unable to get the replacement part (the microphone, I believe); they were very apologetic for the delay and they suggested a replacement without me having to harangue them.
So, credit where it's due, I think. I'm actually quite impressed with Offerbank. Their customer service is responsive via email, and when I lost patience and phoned them I got to speak with a real human being who knew what was happening at the repair centre. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and blame the delay on the repair people; there's definitely some room for improvement in the turnaround time.0 -
I used this site almost year ago to buy Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8. Goods arrived as scheduled an didnt have to pay any customs or duties.
With respect to the goods, Me and my wife are still using them without issue (UK).
In terms of custom and duties I guess we got lucky.
Not had an issue and I personally would use them again but if you have concerns dont!0 -
Interested parties might like to hear they are now called fonis...0

I ordered my Note 4 from this website back in November, it got to me safely, everything was inside the box, a brand new working Note 4, the delivery was fast, I got a tracking code, so I knew where my phone was all the time, everything was really good! (UK)0
