iMessage problem. Any ideas?

If messages from you were blue and now green on her phone, then that says that her iPhone doesn't recognise you as a iMessage user and is sending messages to you via SMS.
I would also suggest *she* deletes all her messages from you, restart her phone and see if that makes any difference.0 -
son had problems receiving and sending imessages( we all have i-phones) turned out he had used up all his data for the month so imessages were not working, according to 02 data is needed to send and receive imessages0

King and gav, both pieces of advice sound good. Will try tonight.
Jhe, it's only between we two that there are problems. We can each send and receive iMessages from others so it's not a case of exceeding limit.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

Got together last night and sorted it.
I could not believe it when we looked at her settings- she had iMessage switched off!
Obviously it was SMS she was getting from others, not iMessage !
Now, we had not talking about an idiot her, she is a highly qualified woman. It must have been a prolonged senior moment!Member #14 of SKI-ers club

This happened to me once when iMessage setting went from On to Off seemingly on its own accord, maybe a result of a software update from Apple. It's so obvious that one does not even think of checking it and Apple needs to indicate this in a more obvious way if it wants us to 'merge' SMS with iMessage.0

Yes, probably during an upgrade.
I once spent an hour on Apple support, resulting in a complete restart of my phone because I was not getting SMS from DS while we were in the USA, looking after their son.
It only turned out the HE had the 'send as SMS if iMessage unavailable' turned off!Member #14 of SKI-ers club
