Blue Badge Parking Charge Notice

Options
First ever post - here goes!!!

Received a Charge Notice in mail from Total Parking Solutions for parking in a retail car park disabled bay in England without displaying a blue badge.
As per advice on the forum the store was visited and manager spoken to but even though they recognised us as loyal customers with valid Blue Badge they informed us that they cannot cancel the charge and to contact Head Office.
The CEO of the company was emailed but no reply was received :(
So waited until the above was received before taking any further action.

Have read the very helpful and informative threads on here but a little panicked and would appreciate some help as to how to word the appeal letter or alter the existing template.

Thank you for any help :A

Thank you very much for that valuable information :)

    What is EA 2010 please?

You mean the wonderfully informative Newbie thread with the template letter in?

EA 2010 = Equality Act 2010. Boiling it down to gravy, being a holder of a BB, TPS and the retailer are obliged to make "reasonable adjustment" for you whether that means additional time to shop, larger spaces etc etc.

Do you have a zero-rate disabled vehicle excise disc as well?
Any particular reason why the BB was not displayed?
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

Yes I do but we were not in my car.
This was a very rare occasion that it was forgotten due to excitement of my niece and family (rare visit from overseas) in the car with young children (2 and 4 years) and shopping for picnic food at the store.
Just not used to such bedlam!!
I explained all this to manager and he knows me and respected my integrity - have never been involved in any such incidence in the 20/30 years have been shopping there!
First time ever it was not displayed and what a costly mistake
Oh dear such a dampener on what was a beautiful day spent with my family for the first time since 2010 :(

OK Shemah, have you appeal to TPS yet?
