F1ash gunk washed off, along with a fair few grotty burned on bits *boak* Oven Br!te splashed around, and the shelves are soaking in the big bag. Didn't use the whole bottle of liquid as my oven sides are self-cleaning (hah) so I can't use it on those; don't know whether to keep the bottle to use on the shelves again in a few weeks, as these are always the bits which get mucky first?

    Need to buy:
    • New bulbs for both ovens -- won't waste my time and ££ getting them from P0undland again, I think they lasted about three days
    • A new tablecloth as mine is past it and doesn't match anything in our kitchen
    • Heavy duty oven liner, had one before and forgot what a difference they make as far as keeping the oven halfway presentable is concerned
Kitchen sides degibbled and disinfected, I have also polished the sink and scrubbed the cutlery drainer -- if I was hit by a bus tomorrow I don't think it'd ever get done again; nor would anyone ever, EVER wipe the bottom of the WU bowl. I have done half of the Bottle Bank Walk of Shame this morning and will do the rest when I pick up DS2, they're already bagged and waiting by the front door.

    • Put away the big table
    • Vac and mop kitchen floor
    • Dust and vac the halls, sort the shoe bench which is currently a very expensive ornament as no one is using it
    • Dust and vac the lounge
    • Dust and vac our BR
    • ... and the girls room
    • ... and the boys room
    • Clean the bathroom
    • Vac and mop the bathroom floor
    • Start on the massive pile of ironing, it's obscene
That ought to keep me out of mischief until 3 o'clock... ;)

    I'll join you, lemanie :)

That hour seemed to whizz by! I won't claim that the dusting or vacuuming is the most thorough job I've ever done (no big furniture moved etc) but it will certainly suffice. How did you get on, lemanie?

Having a ciggie and coffee combination, then I'll get the iron on to heat. I think I have about three 'fills' worth :( Anyone watched good TV this weekend that I can catch up on? We have started on Orange is the New Black, so far it's good, but not great.

Washing machine man has been and re-stabilized the machine which was most of the leaky problem, but also carried out open heart surgery on the filter (non-servicable part) and found handfuls of compacted Mrs Dog fur and a trainer sock. No wonder the poor machine was struggling. His father used to repair microwaves, so he's taken my mother's combi and it will be their workshop m'wave. I'm very, very happy with all of that, particularly as there was no charge for any of it!

    To the dump,
to the dump, to the dump dump dump ....
    Better is good enough.

I have ordered bulbs, tablecloth and three oven liners for less than £20 combined :money:

I've text DH, asking where the nearest drive through car wash is; I usually get the lovely men at Sainsbobs to handwash it but I stupidly parked under the trees when I got home from collecting the boys yesterday and now my whole car is festooned with bird poop :( I'm not sure they'll want to touch it, I know I don't

Must get that iron on. Maybe just one more cuppa first....

    Quite well, I did this;
Manic Monday ~ Kitchen and dining [STRIKE]room
    Clear and wipe work surfaces
    Sweep and Mop the floor
Wipe the cupboard fronts, all the appliances and all those manky corners!!
Wipe the table, replace cloth if needed
    Clean windows and sills[/STRIKE]

    Tidied round EVERYWHERE
    S&S'd the bathroom and loos
    WM shuffle x 3
Sorted out DS1's schoolwork giant pile into subjects for us to go through later. (I had to sit and encourage him ALL weekend to complete his physics and biology coursework, his head of science has been fantastic and has been emailing back and forth all weekend too. He is such a slippery character and I think he was too embarrassed to admit how bad it was and that there was a fair amount of the work he didn't even understand. So I am going to go through all his subjects with him and make sure everything is up to date.)
Re-tidied all the bedrooms (they make their beds and put things away but...:o, I often ask them, is it tidy or is it MUM tidy?)

    Just eaten lunch and am finishing a cuppa, next jobs;
Go to town, banking and Her0n
    Go to Greengrocers
Collect DS2 from school via bottle bank
Cook heuvos rotos with chorizo for tea (Spanish sausage, egg and chips) special request for DD.
    Evening dailies.

Devil Cat pulled the roast chicken off the side and chomped lumps out of it while we were watching Fargo. Little s*d.

Is it wrong that this made me snigger :rotfl:
    *sorry*

I'm sort of in - busy week so will be off list, but I will join in the chatter as usual :D

Valli I have a countdown app on my iphone, I'm sure most smartphone types can get similar? Is that any use? Either that or I will be your own personal countdowner lol as our next holiday is the weekend before... (11 weeks on Saturday so I'm guessing the 23rd is 12 weeks on Wednesday?) :D
