I would never buy anything as I don't want to encourage them! It's hard enough stopping them constantly putting catalogues through the door. I have a nice Lakeland store in my town so don't have any problems finding interesting gadgets and unusual cleaning supplies.
  • The catalogues go straight into my recycling bin - I've put them back outside the door with a message not to put in again so often, all to no avail so I decided that I might as well give the wretched things some use in life - so recycling it is!

Poundstore TAT at inflated prices !

I rip up the catalogues and leave them out in the bags so they get the message as asking to stop delivering dosn't work !
  • I've never bought anything from them.

Mind you, I haven't had a catalogue put through the letterbox in quite a while, which is likely due to the sign on the door, which states
"UNSOLICITED CATALOGUES WILL NOT BE RETURNED!"

Try putting an "UNSOLICITED CATALOGUES WILL NOT BE RETURNED!" sign on the door.

    It worked for me.

Haven't had a catalogue through the letterbox in ages.

I bought a fleece throw and cushion cover with a sleeping cat's face on them for my cat besotted son, but I rarely bother to even look through the catalogue these days. I just wonder how big they think houses are to have room for all those gadgets and cleaning products. Might make one of those signs as we seem to have about 3 different people delivering Kleeneze catalogues at the moment.

The sign should be quite effective (mine is pretty much 100% effective now - but sadly not for general junk mail  ) although, in the early days after fitting it, don't be surprised if you get one or two reps knocking, demanding you return "their" catalogue to them.

In which case, stand your ground and tell them to do one, or the sign will be infective, as they'll quickly realise you are a soft touch, and continue to post them.

I have bought things odd times but really the things are over priced for what they are.

I think I've only ever bought two things from them, snap on pipe covers and a pair of silicon tweezers. The tweezers are good for getting muffins out of the toaster.

But mostly when I flick through the catalogues I do wonder just who is buying some of the stuff in there.
Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j
