Do you buy from Kleeneze?

Have you purchased a gadget or cleaning product from companies like these and been impressed? What do you recommend?
Anything that has been awful?
I'm becoming a cleaning freak and the stuff is tempting but I'm thinking they're quite expensive and they probably won't change my life!
If this is a worn out topic....apologies.

I have never bought anything from the catalogues that comes through the letter box. I used to look through them but realised that most of it is useless tat that I don't actually need.
If you want to clean, all you need is hot water, bicarb or soda, vinegar, stardrops or similar and some cloths. You might want some bleach too, the cheapest version will do. Oh, and some gloves. And if you're starting to feel like Monica from Friends, please do come round to my place0 -
No! as soon as that book or the Avon one comes through the letter box it is places back outside for collection.
I am to penny pinching to part with the money. Look to see what cleaning things you have and save the shelf space in collecting more. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
I buy from Kleeneze occasionally. My favourite buys have been a microwave steamer and a rice steamer, both of which I use regularly. I've never bought any of their cleaning products which are expensive, and a lot of gadgets they sell are totally unnecessary. Like anywhere else you shop, you need to choose what's useful to you and disregard the rest. I had to return an item once as it wasn't sturdy enough for use and they refunded with no trouble at all, but we have a very good rep in our area. HTH... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

I've seen gadgets sometimes in all of those catalogues that i thought may be handy but i'd never buy it there. i'd look out for it in the likes of Home & Bargain where it would cost a lot less.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

We haven't had any Kleeneze nor Betterware books through for sometime now.
I used to buy from an Avon lady down the road until recently, but I didn't get very long to look at the book and always felt obliged to order something as she could be quite pushy, so I had to knock that on the head.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £19,575.020 -
Any catalogues that come through my door get put straight back outside, with a post-it attached with a polite request that we don't get any more put through.
There are less expensive, and more convenient, options to order online these days; and much of the stuff they sell is pure gimmickry. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I swear by their evil chemical oven cleaner that comes with a brush. Nothing I tried before worked on the seriously baked on detritus from the bottom of the oven. The cost didn't matter in the end because I'd gone through so many sponges, brillo pads, quantities of bicarb, vinegar and lemon juice that the price of one bottle was a drop in the ocean. Whatever is in it isn't something I'd want on my skin or on the cat or dog's noses, but painted on the oven floor, and then left to work with a closed door, it seems to be fume free and effective. One bottle lasted me ages, and I can't find anything else as effective. No scrubbing, just wiping out and rinsing.
It's the only commerical cleaning product that I willingly pay a heftyish/realistic price for - everything else I use comes from the va1ue ranges from the supermarkets.Better is good enough.0 -
I used to buy stuff from them, but I wouldn't bother now. Many things seemed to have only one use, and the quality and durability of them is questionable. In fact I've often seen many of the products cheaper in other shops or online.
Those catalouges are there solely to encourage you to shop and buy things you don't really need. You can clean very effectively with cheap microfibre cloths, old rags and underwear, lemon juice/vinegar, soda bicarb and bleach. Stardrops detergent is good, maybe a bottle of Zoflora or Milton for disinfecting.
What sort of products are tempting you?

I was going to right the same thing.
Cheaper versions pretty much always appear in these type of shops soon after their first showing in better ware/kleeneze catalogue.
The same with jml products.
I do enjoy looking through the books though.Mummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0 -
I had a friend who did Betterware . Unfortunately she's not around anymore. I found their Patio Cleaner worked brilliantly on flagstones . It stopped moss & algae coming back again for ages. It was my favourite product from them.
I have a Pampered Chef microwave rice cooker that I bought from a catalogue at a 'party' presentation. We use it very often & it saves a lot of money as I hardly ever use those packs of 2 min. microwave rice now.0
