I do too. Much safer as I cut her terribly with the nail clipper. Once shes bigger and her fingers aren't so small I'll probably try scissors, but not for a while.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
DD was 2.5 before I used nail clippers on her and over 3 before I used nail scissors. Biting them is much easier/safer.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0

After becoming very upset that Isabella couldn't latch on a midwife suggested I try her with formula.
Useless
Baby talc (MW said it's bad for babies lungs, we still have 4 unopened bottles!)
My cot has head and foot boards - nowhere to tie a bumper on to!
There are bumpers you can use that wrap around the side bars - they're called airflow ones or something. We used them for DD.
Baby talc is the best thing for getting sand off damp feet. We never used it when she was a baby but now she's on the beach loads it's come in really handy!
Did your midwife check your daughter for a tongue tie? It's very common but most push formula as the solution rather than fixing the problem!Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

Another vote here for Ewan the Dream Sheep - not for me but I've bought two for different babies and been told how fantastic he is. One little boy even had a Ewan sheep as his first birthday cake as he loves it so much. One word of warning though, apparently Ewan is also a dab hand at soothing sleep deprived parents to sleep too :rotfl:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

My daughter hated it and rips him off the cot and throws him away. I also can't sleep with noise but my OH likes to fall asleep to the radio so perhaps that's similar to white noise. Unfortunately we're all different so buying something second-hand at least means you've wasted less money if it doesn't work for you.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
After 3 babies (the youngest is 8 months) the best buy I made was his changing mat. We don't use it all the time but my youngest takes a daily medication and as a result has a lot of explosive nappies. Having a nice surface that I can keep wiping as we go along is very helpful. Also, a jumparoo and a walker. My baby tends to follow me around the house so he has the jumparoo in the lounge and a walker in the kitchen which gets moved into the garden. Ideal for allowing me to get those nasty chores done without being out of sight. The Jumparoo (which looks and works like new cost £20 from an NCT SALE which are brilliant and thoroughly recommend for finding some top notch used baby goods.0

and I couldnt actually believe their suggestions..
I never used a monitor of any kind with either of the girls and I wont this time either.
nappy bins & all that are just ways for a company to continue to extract money from already squeezed stones..
Door bouncer well my DD1 loved hers didnt have one for DD2 as our living room is L shaped so we wouldnt be able to see her.
Baby washing bowls, I used a baby bath for the first bath but after that i just held her in the bath with shallow water, as I bathed her & elder daughter together from the beginning.
Breast pump, I never had any success what so ever with mine.
Cot mobile she still uses now at 2 and I didnt have a bumbo I had a cushitush seat which was a life saver!
anything that let me go hands free was brilliant!0
