I tend to put anything fetched from selling the kids old stuff towards new things for them :)
  • Ebay isn't great for selling toys as they are usually too heavy to be posted. (However, it's can be good for buying them as you sometimes find local bargains - see http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/local-ebay-deals/ )

Mumsnet and Gumtree used to be good, but I haven't had any success with bikes I've been trying to sell for 2 years.

Car boot sale prices are usually too low, but I may try this once.

Where else is good to sell toys?

As your daughter is young, I would probably save the money up and then when she wants something, then she has in effect 'bought it herself'.

As my kids got older I gave them the money. IMO if the proceeds come from the sale of something they got as a present then it is their money.
