Hubby and I went out shopping and had a competition to see who could find the most Roadkill. It was a draw we both found a 5p coin each and a penny each.

    Hellloooooooooo!
It has been a few months since I posted, but I am still hunting. This month I have found £1.22 (inc a £1 coin in Tesco trolley today). The other day I added up my finds, and since Hokey started this malarky in October,I have found £50.64 in roadkill .This includes a couple of serious notes in the Christmas shopping chaos (£10 note,£5 note,£5 note).

Gem-gem I am relieved you didn't check under the cars in my part of the world a few weeks ago.I had walked to pick up children from school and realised I had lost a |£20 note on the way.I was so cross.I was like a wet blanket as a friend and I took our kids to the park after school. Then we walked home,me in a rotten mood, but resigned to the fact that maybe someone found it who needed more than I did.
Just as kids and I arrived at home, something caught my eye under a car parked a few doors up from my house.Sure enough,it was my £20 note, folded exactly as I had folded it to store in my phone cover. That note must have been hiding under that car for over 2 hours .What if the car had driven off...what if a breeze had blown it onto the road instead of hidden it under a car...what if Gem-gem was walking past my house looking underneath all the cars!!! :rotfl:
    Keep up the good work,Killers!

Saver upper - well done with your £50+ find. Hubby and I are not far behind you.
Saver upper - I'm glad that you found you £20.00 note, mind you... That would have been a find and a half. In January, I found a £20.00 In a dark deserted street ( we were away at time). It did put a smile on our face.
The other day I thought I found x a £10.00 note but it was a trick one - the bearer was entitled to 10 satsumas!!! We left it on the table in the pub so that some one else can have their heart leap for joy for a few seconds.
    :D
No finds for us today. :(

I've reached the grand total of £9.20 for the month :)

I actually got a little bit spooked out the other evening. I was thinking to myself how unusual it was to find pound coins. Less than 2 minutes later I spotted a pound coin lying in some freshy cut grass

I also found a pound coin lying on the platform at the University train station on Monday. I was the last person to get off the train. I estimate that more than 50 people had stepped over the coin and hadn't noticed it :rotfl:

As I very rarely find roadkill away from the university, next month most of the students will be gone so I suspect my roadkill finds will be much lower.
