Except that simply reducing a package doesn't initiate a new minimum term-just as Kurtis already pointed out.The OP makes it clear the downsized package caused a 12 month contract.

Virgin will only have reinstated the minimum term if the OP accepted a retention deal or if it has been done in error. Since the OP hasn't logged back in to explain the circumstance surrounding this, it does not look as if we'll ever know for sure.
As you say, perhaps the Op is simply not bothering to log in and reply but is reading all the speculative responses?0
