Good morning all, it a wet day here as well.

Forgot to say yesterday firefly, we had a tin bath we used to use in front of the fire but we were lucky to have an verander as they were called then where our toilet was so it was not so bad. We didnt have a bathroom until I was 8.

Well done on booking another deal for time away Sheils, something to look forward to. We are off down to my DD2's next weekend for a few day to see the various family.

It was good of your LO to sleep in later for you Kitten, you must be exhausted with her being poorly. It will do you good to get out for a cuppa.

So glad your DD2 did well yesterday, haven't had Kentuckie for quite some time.

I love tea and coffee. Peeps think I am strange as when I get up I like a big cup of tea followed by a cup of coffee.

Must get on as have the family coming for lunch at 1.

    Right girls

Kettles on, what would you all like? May get the biscuits out also.

Trying to put together a little hamper of nice things for my mum for Xmas, any suggestions? Not too expensive as she's having a gift voucher for Pandora also. I'm thinking chocs, bath stuff etc

Off to make the tea/coffee now...
    Let's be happy!!
  • Hi Kitten, tea and biscuits sound lovely. I sometimes make a hamper up for my DD's and I put things like a pretty mug, shortbread, nice bar of choc.

Happy birthday to your mum sheils :bdaycake: hope she's having a good day :) xx

I'm the same when it comes to tea fire**fly, I hate the smell of it! Only ever drink coffee but DH only really drinks tea. I tend to drink decaf in the house though as I get so many migraines!

Sheils, you know your stuff when it comes to booking breaks! :) Southport sounds lovely to get your Xmas shopping done. It's nice to go somewhere different to shop for a change. I daren't think about Xmas yet! (Mind you, I'm waiting for It's A Wonderful life to come on TV at 3pm while I'm ironing!

Hope your DD's eyes are much better now kitten, bless her xx
I agree with Sylvia, mugs, socks, chocs, smelliest are all nice for hampers!

That will be nice Sylvia going to see your family next week. I only manage to get to my mums once a week nowadays with being so busy. Mam never comes to mine! :o

I've been browsing what to get DD1 for her bday. All I get from her is..she doesn't want to be 15 because she hates odd numbers! I told her to pretend she is still 14! I might get her a light up keyboard to help with her music in school. She never tells me what she wants!
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!
