ellem I sympathise with him that is why I double over at times with my back. every so often I end in so much pain I cant stand straight. Shingles attacks the nerves that is why you can follow the red line when you first get it and docs can diagnose. It is something to do with the chicken pox virus when we get it you are not imune to shingles. The pain at time can be hellish but at other times coping is not a problem. Not everyone who has or not had chickenpox gets shingles. The virus is sitting there.

Thanks rose, he really had no idea it could be so bad, nor could I. It's really getting him down as about the only thing he does is indoor bowling and because of the pain he says his game is rubbish :( poor wee soul.

Oh sorry to hear about your OH ellemm, hope he is on the mend xx I've heard shingles is worse when you get older. My DD has a low immune system and has sjoergrens syndrome which is an autoimmune disorder. A few yrs ago she had a second form of chicken pox and was in pain for months which knocked her confidence. I don't know if it's because her immune system is low or what but she had all her jabs too. I wouldn't like to think she could get shingles later on in life too.

Well done on the £50 win Rose :j A very handy win :)

Fire**fly, great win for you too! :T Headphones always come in handy when you have a noisy house! :D
Casserole sounds perfect for this weather! We had hunters chicken with jacket spud.

I took DD to to gymnastics and only had my cardigan on but it was shotting it down when we came out! Sat in my cosy onesie now ;)

I can sympathise with Shingles. I had it about 7/8 years ago. Luckily, my Mum recognised it pretty quickly so the doctor diagnosed it quickly and prescribed strong anti-viral stuff so it didn't hit me as hard as it could have done. But my God, it was awful at the time.

I hope you are feeling better soon!

I hope everyone who is in pain, or unwell is feeling better soon! Being ill/in pain sucks!!!!

Well done to all on the wins! :)

Be healthy first people, and lucky second :) xx
