I bet the squirrels are enjoy the leaves on the ground firefly. Lottie really enjoyed them yesterday at the Priory, she had a wonderful time. Its her favorite time of the year I think.

I expect it feels funny not being away Sheils, you will be able to concentrate on the comps and the washing for a while, you could always come and do my ironing, I know how much you love it.

How is the hamster today Wingo, I hope she is OK. I know how upsetting it is when they are not well.

Yeah its a shame I don't live closer Sylvia as I only have about 2 hours worth here today!

playing in them, the blackbirds love foraging in
them as well when the winds blown all the leaves in a
big heap in a corner it's wonderful to watch them
yes, I imagine it's lottie's fave time as well & can see her
having lots of fun as well with them :j

Must be nice watching squirrels FF. We always stop and watch them when we are away. We have red ones in area but seldom see them. We do see Lemurs sometimes as they have outing from wildlife park when they get bored !

For anyone who is interested I have had a response back from the MSE team regarding the abuse I received on a thread yesterday; in a nutshell they are quite content to host online harassment and will be doing nothing about it.

'This site does not have moderators and we do not remove abusive posts'

Given their response this is my last post on MSE.

I will nevertheless be comping along with the rest of the silent majority going forward.

Hugely disappointing.

Thanks for letting us know gholmes. At least we know there is no point in reporting abuse in future!

I agree with you - it is wrong that moderators refuse to intervene when bullying or abuse is going on. Yes, there are compers on here who are strong and will not be affected by any form of abuse and will either fight back or turn a blind eye BUT there are also some more sensitive souls, who do take nastiness and abusive remarks to heart and it does effect their mental and emotional health. The bullying that goes on here may not be physical abuse, but it is mental and emotional abuse and these types of abuse are taken much more seriously these days (ie parents/partners can be charged for mental/emotional abuse) Therefore moderators should be updating their policies on MSE before someone becomes really ill or takes their own life, which can happen if someone is really depressed or is struggling through life.

I just hope you are ok gholmes. You can always come in here to chat - everyone in the inn is usually cheerful No nastiness goes on in here! We have a George Clooney bodyguard lookalike at the door who keeps trolls out!!
