funny you saying that about the kids smoking,
this morning while I was out going up to corner shops
I noticed a few at the bus stop chuffing away!
don't know how they afford them either!
please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly. k2u58ioz4c8e.png

Morning! Back after dropping the kids off - feel a bit better with the fresh air. Drizzly and dull today - the weather is so all over the place at the mo! Monday - bright, Tue dull and drizzle, Wed bright, Thur dull and drizzle!.... I am guessing tomorrow will be bright then lol!

I too notice young ones puffing away - they look strange because they are so young! The boys especially look about 10! I am surprised their teachers or parents don't smell it on their uniforms! I have been asked to buy cigarettes for them in the past but I always refuse! I don't know where they get the money from these days. I often pop into Morrisons before dropping the kids off and we see loads of school kids sitting in the cafe eating breakfasts- the staff say some of them are in every morning dead on 8am when the store opens! I just think why don't they have breakfast at home and how can parents afford to give the kids money each day for breakfast as well as lunch? school-uniform-smiley-emoticon.gif

Rose, never apologise for letting off steam *huge hugs* to you. I know how you feel I lost my big Sis (she was just 52) 5yrs after my Mum. Everyone's faults (mine included) come into sharp focus at those times I think. Keep your chin up xxx

What an awesome post Firefly! xx

It's odd but I was thinking the same this morning. I don't think it matters where your faith lies, God, Buddha, Mother Lakshmi, the tree at the end of the garden, the comping fairy. If you really need it, it will come. Might not be in the shape you'd hoped/imagined but it will arrive.

    Be extra lucky today folk.

I'm definitely not with it this week, I just looked for a Wednesday pic to put on then realised it was Thursday when I saw your pics! :o

Bella, I would have dropped to my feet by now if I didn't have any sleep! I do t know how you manage! Hope you feel refreshed now :)

I know what you mean Sylvia, there's lots of kids here too walk out of school with fags in their mouth! I often get asked for a fag or a light too which I just ignore. Even if I did smoke I still wouldn't give it to them! They are probably spending their dinner money on fags.
Good luck for today ((hugs)) xx

Hope it's brightened up for you fire**fly :) It's been sunny and then cloudy today here. You never know what the weather will be like!

Good luck getting washing dry sheils ;) My dryer is in garage now so I will struggle in winter getting clothes dry! Too many crawlies in garage! :o

I agree Dreamin' ....great quote by fire**fly :)

DH is off on sick for another week or two! (groan) :o
    Have a lucky day everyone!
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!
  • Bluebella, I too think it's sad seeing young ones smoking. We had a visitor at our Jnr school back in the 70's who showed us pics of healthy lungs and pics of lungs with the effects of smoking. Wish they still did that in schools now.

Sorry to bang on (I know it's not polite sorry again) but mega excited about my wins this week, although pulled up short by Jnr. He asked me (because that's just the way he is) as we were going to be VIPs, what would we say if someone asked us who we were? Before I could stop myself I replied "I don't know what you're going to say but I'm going to say I am the bands Mum" this was met with a "Oh blimey" but he returned 10 mins later to say...

"Well that's not going to fool anyone as they are from Scotland and you are full of estuary English"

    How rude...I'm proper posh, I am! ;)

    LMAO :rotfl:

Ooo which kind of proper Scottish are you? I fell in love with the Highlands accent when I did E2E earlier this year. There was one shop I kept popping into, to keep the owner chatting because it was the most fabulous accent I'd ever heard! Surprised I didn't get banned lol.

I try to make my vowels shorter, but Jnr has a cheek picking me up on my accent as he has the oddest of accents (IMO) it's a bizarre mix of Sarf East London/Mancunian laced with a dash of Kentish dialect :/
