Just randomly came in for a read and saw a mention of Finchale Priory. Don't live too far from it and haven't been for a long while. Had some lovely visits when I was younger so thanks for the reminder :)

Hi Marva, yes we live really close but only went recently. I cou believe something so beautiful was so close.

Well done getting your wallpaper done Sylvia! :T Give yourself a big pat on the back and have a good win :) Thanks for the info on soup maker btw :A I will check my bank balance! :D

Hope you've all had a lovely day and hasn't been too cold for you all!
Just been watching gavin & Stacey Xmas special and feeling all festive now!

DD brought a carrier bag downstairs from her bedroom and left it on kitchen floor. When I asked why she left it there she said there was a massive spider in so didn't want it in her room. DH has looked in bag and it's not there so now I have another massive spider running riot in the house somewhere! :o Nooooooooo! Fire**fly...help!
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

  • Good morning all. A bit chilly here but a lovely dry day.

That was kind of you getting Wingo's spider last night firefly.

Talking of spiders, I thught I would have a nice relaxing bath last night. Whe I went to put the taps on I looked along the bath and there was a BIG spider at the other end of the bath. DH got it for me and remarked "that was a big one, I hope the Daddy doesn't come next"

Going into town today for a coffee and read the papers.

Thanks so much for the Buddha pic firefly have given his tum a good rub for a good win.

    Morning
I have 2 days off now,so time to catch up with housework and shopping.I got lots of conkers the other day (I sometimes work next to a farm and they have a big tree so went conker picking, lol) I have cut them to release the odour and put them round the house in the corners and on the window sills. Some people say they stop spiders coming inGotta be worth a try. I have had to put them behind things so the dog can't get them.

    Hello firefly,
Thank you to yourself and everyone else for the very kind comments yesterday. If you would like to pm helpmesave perhaps you could perhaps cover the Nottingham post between you. Helpmesave cannot cover full time. I cannot comment to all who wished me luck and all the lovely comments as I would get told off also  I loved doing postals and in truth and perhaps this goes against others feelings but I feel since they have changed it all they have spoilt postals, no chat with friends you have made, no great well done you, no banter with friends .. No fun !!! yes I love writing and won a few comps with my poems but they do take a lot of thinking about so need more time. I wish everyone they very best in entering the comps and wish everyone old and new loads and loads of luck. Love & kisses to all. Oddies x x oh forgot red cardinal will take on grazia sorry red:rotfl:
