Good morning all, lovely and sunny here at the moment but it is very changeable
Did you see the article in the Mail yesterday firefly where a 73 year old woman had the police on her door for feeding the birds can you believe? Neighbors had complained it was a health hazard. Poor woman. My Sister always feeds her birds and buys loads of stuff and would be devastated if she couldn't feed them.
So glad your DH's scan was OK Sheils, it must be a relief for you all. Is it tomorrow you are going away?
Well done on your wins today firefly, only one more day to go for this month.
Glad you are all organised ready for them going back to school Bella. Enjoy your weekend.
Well don on your win Vicki.
I hope you DD got on alright at her appointment Wingo, it must be a constant worry for you, big hugs.
Have a lovely day all.
SIL is on his hands and knees grouting the floor now so should be finished today. I got him a Bosch hammer drill for doing it for us.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
Well done on the wins fire**fly :T I got the Delaware sun shades last year but I think they were from a freebie then
Ooh maybe the birds know something we don't! They might be storing their food ready for weather!
I think teens when they get to that age don't think it's cool to go away with parents sheils.Sometimes when I tell son we are going to seaside he says he wants to play out with friends instead so we don't end up going!
Well done on your choccy win Vickimichelle :j
Parcel man just brought DD's scooter and trainers I've got her for bday but she's still in bed so hasn't saw him bring them thankfully!
I'm so tired today I think I need a nana nap! I kept dreaming that a crab was nipping me last night! What was that all about!! I imagine I was screaming in my sleep (or opera singing as DH calls it! )
Have a good day everyone xxBig thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Aw that was nice of you to get son in law the hammer for doing your tiling Sylvia :A I bet he was really pleased
When you first said SIL was doing the tiling I thought...'wow, her sister in law is very good if she can do tiling!'
I never thought of son in law!
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
thanks all :j
no, I didn't spot the article about the
bird feeding sylv
think that's a bit mean of her neighbours
was she putting the food on the pathways/ground ?
as that can be a health hazard,
always best to have their feed in proper feeders & tables
that can be cleaned every other day,
will be great for you when floorings finished & lovely
of SIL to help :A
I had the sunshades as well last year wingo
i'm at a loss where these ones have turned up
from as searched the boards & other places &
can't find any postings for them at all
but, still, it's a nice surprise
good job DD was still in bed when parcel man
camesounds like she's going to have a great b/day :A
loving the great pics again :j:jplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Hi Everyone
I love feeding the birds too, but last year one of the birds had an accident which was horrible. We had one of those long thin feeders that you stack fat balls in. Went out one morning and a bird had got his beak stuck and was dead. We think he was eating one and the one on top caught his beak. It was horrible to see, we even wrote to the RSPCB to see if they can stop selling them but they never replied. Watching the birds is so relaxing.
We took LO swimming this morning, she has been having swimming lessons (water babies type lessons) since she was 6 months old and she's now 2 and loves it so much. It's lovely to see the lessons paying off and how confident she is compared to others her age. She's exhausted now and asked to go bed. We are lucky really to have a child that knows when she's tired and wants to sleep. My friends little boy doesn't and she is having a little nightmare with him.
Still no wins here for me but I've only been doing the clickies/dailies.
Well done everyone else it's always nice to hear what everyone has won.
Sarah

I would love to be able to feed and watch the birds. I darn't buy anything like a bird table as we have four cats. Such a shame given that the wildlife really do need food putting out especially with winter coming along soon.Wins of 20210
