Been watching an old TV series called "Lakes" that I won on DVD last year and it is really good. It is set around Ullswater so we recognise some of the settings. It has a great cast too - an amazing amount seem to have made their way to "Casualty" John Simm (Life on Mars) is the main actor.

remember ours was very popular in them days,
it's all changed now though hasn't it,
I've not seen a cafe for a few years now that fries bacon & eggs,
seems to be all grilled/microwaved etc
lots healthier though I suppose :eek:
DH used to love a fried egg sandwich but wouldn't
eat one nowdays,
was it someone in eastenders years ago that was always eating fried egg sandwiches :eek:

I was in a hotel a while ago and was served fried bacon and was nearly sick. DH ate all his meal fine though. Just had scrambled egg the next day! DD loves a fried egg sandwich.

suppose it's not so bad nowdays they have the spray oil
as opposed to the fat they used to fry them in :eek::D
was just talking to SIL about early eastenders & she says it was
michelle fowler & sharon that always had fried egg sandwiches
for brekkie :eek::rotfl:

Never really watched Eastenders as I always thought it was a bit depressing. Corrie is like that at the moment too though - not much humour about.

lol, I don't watch them either sheils though sometimes if it's
an interesting story line i'll tune in to see what's happening,
it's SIL who's an avid follower of them & has been for years :eek:
that's why I asked her about the fried egg sarnies as we were talking about fried foods

Good Morning! Lovely bright and fresh morning here! Good luck for today! I am at the hair salon this morning whilst my parents take the kids up the coast for a walk. I love getting my hair done and the best part is having someone else wash my hair! Often my stylist will ask 'would you like a couple of magazines to read whilst we wait for the colour to set?' and I say 'No thanks', as sometimes it is nice to just sit and do nothing for a bit!

Hope you enjoy your "me time" at the hairdresser Bella. My sister is a hairdresser so she always cuts mine although I sometimes go to Toni & Guy for highlights as she can't be bothered using foils.

Sun is back today so will have to make the most of it. Didn't get out yesterday for the constant showers.
Tesco vouchers are in the accounts today anyone who gets them. Just spent all from the last quarter so leaving mine just now.
Waiting on Intercontinental Hotels new point breaks to open so I can book one of their bargains to Metro Centre hotel. They work on US time so will be afternoon .
Not much of July left now. Hope everyone has a lucky week.
