BT Total Broadband Option 3 Reviews

Hi all, i am moving house in a couple of weeks, and am looking into alternative broadband providers instead of my current isp freedom2surf.

I have been looking at the BT Total Broadband Option 3 with the home hub and free xbox 360 wireless, on a 12 month contract.

I however have seen a number of reviews saying people are having problems with speed due to capping etc.

Does anyone here use BT total broadband, and how are you finding the service?

I would greatly appreciate any advice.

:)

They have throttled my connection to death. Therefore I am leaving to sky max.

The home hub is a waste of time also imo.

Probably not the best person to ask ;)

Very true. Thats why I went back to them =(

Shame they have changed the way they look after people who pay 27.99 a month and have been with them for years.

I've been with BT Broadband for many years, was with option 2, but asked if they had any offers for me as a customer loyalty scheme and they upgraded me to option 3 for same price as option 2.

BT has served me well and have noticeably had issues with connection only once (lasted for less than 24hrs), I think it was a fault with the BTExchange, so many BTbroadband customers in my area had the same problem.
Other than this, I have only needed to call CS once (problem was from my end, something to do with my router)... They picked up the phone prety promptly and they helped me solve the problem over the phone (configuring the router). Good service from CS (even though its in India)

Downloads cruse at around 700-800kb/s, it isnt rare for me to see these speeds and sometimes do P2P, havent yet been throttled :)

All in all, thumbs up for BT from me :D ... although we all know with any company, you get some people who like them, others who donot... no guarantee you are going to have same experience as me of course!
